  1. Email the club.
  2. Maybe we should go back to the Fuschias. Brilliant ! Do you know how many people like gardening ?
  3. They have 700,000 supporters Australia wide yet he's "amazed" they convert between 9-10 % into members. We convert over 20%.
  4. You highlighted their tally of 65,000 as some sort of benchmark we should aspire to. I point out they have 3.5 times more members for only a 1.5 times better result, ergo we're doing far better in the conversion stakes. You then highlight again that the "cheats have more than us". Derr It's like talking to a triple brick wall where a modicum of common sense is unable to penetrate. An insuperable challenge. Bye.
  5. The only reason a helmet could have ANY merit is if it provided the player confidence, i.e. a mental edge. Nathan Burke, Gary Wilson and others have worn them, so he wouldn't be the first. But other than confidence, which he may need, there's no reason to wear one.
  6. You used Essendon as a model to be admired. I've shown you we're more successful turning supporters into members than them. You're example of Essendon was bzzzz wrong.
  7. That's based on over 100 years of football. They grew out of a suburb and we grew out of a footy ground. Surely you've known for decades that most other Victorian clubs have far more supporters ? Irrespective, you highlighted their success in members and I'v shown you that we're far more successful in gaining members per ratio of supporters. No doubt you'll reply with another inane comment that misses the point.
  8. Why didn't you quote the first post that does ?
  9. Bottom line is you're going to have more members if you have 3.5 times the number of supporters. The fact that they have only 1.5 times the members with 3.5 times the supporters either says we're doing well or they're doing very poorly. Unless, of course, you're obtuse.

  12. Of course, but don't use Essendon as your shining light example. On a membership ratio we do better than them.
  13. Per capita they have a long way to go to match our supporter to member rato.
  14. I'm an MCC member, so my membership is nothing more than a donation. I'm not rushing out to get one by Christmas.
  15. Just noticed he tops Inside Football Player Ratings:1. OLIVER, Clayton Melb 612. MERRETT, Zach Ess 603. MURPHY, Marc Carl 594. MITCHELL, Tom Haw 595. EBERT, Brad Port 59
  16. I agree with all of that except McDonald forward. McDonald forward can work well as an element of surprise, but I don't see it as a set position, or his best position. It's a handy ploy on occasions, but more mid game. Frost has been a revelation recently and is becoming pivotal to the backline.
  17. Imo Petracca was second best behind Viney and Oliver third. We all see things differently.
  18. You see, this is the reason I like to wait for "facts". I know it's unfashionable, but it's prudent. The club said "illness" and I was prepared to take the club on face value until we heard otherwise. I didn't like the rumours and innuendo by posters on here with the insinuation he had mental demons due to the death of his Father. A lesson to all I would have thought.
  19. One of the more beatable cancers. I wish him well.

  21. When did I say it wasn't a concern ?
  22. We all want to know in time, because as members the club has a responsibility to inform, but I'll respect their right to determine the timing, especially when recent events have been extremely personal. It would be great if these posters stopped stamping their feet and applied a modicum of patience. Won't happen.
  23. It's one thing winning a H&A game without a quality key forward, it's another winning a final. As for him not playing. Obviously, the club will assess the timing and make an announcement as it deems fit. If, as reported, it's a minor illness I expect him back quickly, if it's not, as speculated, the club is in the best position to determine the timing of such shared information. I want him playing, but I don't feel any burning desire to know the reasons why he didn't.
  24. His last two weeks illustrates something wasn't right earlier in the season.
  25. Unless you're a doctor (and I assume a specialist in the field of brain anatomy), and unless you're privy to his medical records, I don't believe you're in a position to proffer ANY advice re his career.
