  1. An amateur prognosis and unsubstantiated guesswork annoys me no end.
  2. If you go by the armchair doctors here then yes. Don't bother with Dr Google, just ask Demonland..
  3. Goodwin must view Pedersen as I do.
  4. Let's just say I disagree. I rate his attributes highly. This from 2014: Your club's ratings stars for 2014 ESSENDON Best defender: Michael Hibberd (AFL Player Rating: 87, club rating: 5) Hibberd is the man the Bombers want with the ball coming out of defence, because of his run, precise left foot and courage. Defensively, Hibberd is an excellent intercept mark. Happy to leave it there.
  5. If someone doesn't rate Hibberd I can only conclude they haven't seen much of him, hence the "eyes" comment. Hardly "personal". I had him in Dreamteam two years running, so watched him a lot. His last year was average, but prior to that he was in Essendon's best 5 players. I see no reason he won't be as good or better at the Dees. Btw, the 2014 version was better than the 2013 version.
  6. This is where it's handy to have eyes. Hibberd is a gun, although he was a little down in his last year at Essendon (2015), but he's tough, loves to run, great intercept mark, is a great kick and makes smart decisions.
  7. I'm certain you are told nothing significant by the club. You're no doubt treated with respect by the club, as they appreciate the efforts you make to attend training, but an insider you aint.
  8. Love Bernie, but it's no big deal either way. Doubt it's true though, as he seems really happy, is involved in a local real estate agency, and knows he only has a couple of years left. Often an innocent comment is taken out of context and the next thing you know you get rumours like this that grow legs.
  9. Well worth a look. http://www.richmondfc.com.au/video/2017-04-20/opposition-analysis-melbourne
  10. You think Nankervis needs to be tagged by Pedersen ? No mate.
  11. You obviously haven't read all of the posts. And to be fair, I covered your angle anyway.
  12. He's been disappointing, but it's too early to write him off. After Oliver v West Coast in the JLT he was probably our next best player. He's a beautiful mover, nice size, and technically a really good kick. It's his decision making that is letting him down. He has really good AFL attributes. Four games in it's a bit premature to consider him a disaster. That said, I'd drop him for Hibberd this week.
  13. Tut-tutting is alive and well.
  14. I don't think he's "sub par" for a 7 game 19 year old key forward. I like the traits I see. Happy to disagree and we'll both watch him develop with the same hopes in mind.
  15. A minor issue. Charlie Dixon has a glass of red wine the night before a game and he's front page of the Herald Sun and suspended by his club. The AFL would happily pepperspray the likes of Jack Crisp for a $10 multi. Others convulse in anger over Hogan having a dart on a weekend off, as if he's some sort of nicotine addict. Fans lamenting drafting Melksham over a trivial betting indiscretion involving his account (sure, they also think he can't play footy). Meanwhile, Ben Cousins is a mess and never tested positive for illegal drug use and first time offenders are protected from public vilification. Somewhere, there's an imbalance.
  16. Not to mention Weideman is still 19. I think many forget he's still a teenager. Darcy Moore is 21 and still struggling.
  17. But you're not going to get that. You're going to get 13 disposals, 4-5 marks, 4-5 hitouts, and maybe a goal. We already know what we get from Pedersen. i wouldn't select him and doubt Goodwin will. Btw, Casey played Williamstown. A stand-alone club. The standard at VFL level these days is very ordinary.
  18. It was directed at me, so obviously me. Next time just don't bother agreeing if you have to preface your comment. Not just with me, anyone. If you're posting to agree then just agree. Or don't bother at all. I've highlighted your particular comment, but I see it quite often.
  19. Hate these types of comments.
  20. Unpleasant comments. Frawley didn't ask to be drafted to a basket case football club. Probably the worst in living memory. Years and years of beatings would weigh down the most resilient footballer. Numerous senior coaches, numerous assistant coaches, continuous false dawns, and a time clock ticking over your career would make many players contemplate a move. Eight years of service in that type of environment is nothing to sneeze at. He got a chance to go to a powerhouse club and got his flag, which is what every player entering the system dreams of. I wouldn't want him back though. We've moved on and have too many poor kicks out of defence to want any more.
  21. It's feeling/sounding like: In: Hogan, Hibberd, Kennedy-Harris Out: Weideman (injured), Melksham (omitted), Hannan (omitted)
  22. So you think Brayshaw will stay a VFL player ? Hahaha
  23. Glad you went to the trouble. I couldn't give a rat's toss bag either way. I shared the information as I thought some may be interested and I also made it clear that I wasn't certain of the veracity of the claims.
  24. I could expand. Don't want to waste my time.
  25. Our best beats Richmond. We're better. We win. Don't rate them. At all.
