So it turns out they even did it a 3rd time, to get Langdon and Tomlinson in the middle.

He doesn't know how to play against an opponent. He just wants to run and jump at the ball. So many times if he just put a little body to protect the drop spot of the ball he would be able to take easy marks. He is very easy to defend for this reason and while he will get away with it at lower levels, it won't translate to AFL. Hoping we stick with Jackson but Max has said they basically flipped a coin on who to select for round 2 so wouldn't be surprised to see them swap this week.

I won't be watching a replay but I didn't think he was that bad. When he was around the clearances he did some nice things. Only played 69% game time and showed some good courage sitting under the high ball with Casboult coming. His kicking is what it is. He is not much of a wingman and with Petracca spending more time in the midfield it's unfair to expect Brayshaw to dominate with limited opportunities.

There was at least 4 players not around when they sang the song. They did it again once everyone was there but pretty poor form to go without several players.

I've watched the last 2 minutes again. I haven't changed my opinion. Was shocking and very lucky to get away with it. Lever kicking to a two on one, where are the structures and players pushing across for the obvious down the line kick. Luckily, Carlton are just like us and don't know how to win.

Just had Melksham on the footy show. A bit delusional trying to claim we lifted in the last 10 minutes and it showed our maturity. I would prefer we call a spade, a spade and just say we got lucky.

Agrew with most of that but it's a bit simplistic to just focus on the talls goals when we have 3 players jumping for every high ball, probably due to having an undersized match up, and they get easy crumb goals.

That was really annoying, Bennell could have easily got a handball and goaled. Our only goal in the 2nd half I thought was the wrong call from Viney to kick to Petracca when he had space to keep running.

Jackson gave us exactly what Weideman gave us last season as a fourth year player. I would much rather persist with that than waste any more time with Weideman. He had two easy marks he dropped early inside 50 that he will take with a few more games under his belt.

One positive, Bennell played only 50 mins for 14 touches and showed his class and clean hands.

I have actually been thinking Jackson has all the attributes to play as a key defender since watching him play in the preseason. Still, it would be strange after not training with the group all pre season and even mentioning during the recent podcast he would play forward.
