  1. Yes, but he loses his right to choose a club if he trains before that date. It would be a bad decision for him to train with a club prior to the draft, therefore, I wouldn't expect any action on this front for the next month.
  2. What confirmation are you actually looking for? The latest I read was that he was invited to train with us starting December 3rd? It's in his best interests to not train with anyone before that date to leave his options open at other clubs and be able to sign as a delisted free agent at any club.
  3. What are you basing this on? Do you know this or are you just making an unfounded assumption and stating it as fact? I am sure if he was approached last minute in the previous trade period regarding going to GWS he would have started to question his worth to the team. There has been nothing in Levers career this far to suggest he is going to be a star. Unless he suddenly becomes a good kick or a key position player he will continue to be an overpaid half back flanker.
  4. The speculation stems back to the previous season when it is rumoured that GWS offered pick 7 for him last minute in the trade period. I think we also were hoping to trade him to the Gold Coast who were willing to pay a much higher price. Either way we messed up big time with Lever and Howe.
  5. Reading the player description he was of little interest to me. Then after watching the game vs Vic Country, he was the the player that impressed me the most. Despite not having the skill set we are currently lacking I would not be upset if we were to draft him. Just has something about him and was very clean around the stoppages with an amazing attack on the ball. If you watch from the 2.50 mark you will see his attack on the ball (number 10) and he had a busted shoulder at some point in this game, not sure if it was prior to this.
  6. Gold Coast are better to avoid early in the season, they are normally okay for the first part of the season.
  7. Yeah I loved the one game I saw of Robertson (vs Vic Country) but x factor definitely wouldn't be how I described him as a player.
  8. Are there? I have only read about Sydney and Geelong. Who are the other teams?
  9. I think so, they are stocked with inside midfielders and if he wasn't part of their academy, I doubt they would even be considering him with their pick. If he is at a similar level to Jacob Hopper he would be a poor pick for them. They would benefit from selecting players with more versatility.
  10. You got the right guy? This guy single handedly lost them the final against GWS with his horrific decision making and disposal. He is a battler and would just be plugging a hole into something else arrived.
  11. From the games I've seen (vs WA and SA) and most of his highlights on the NAB league app this isn't an issue. Uses his right foot when he needs to and is not so left sided like Stephens appears to be.
  12. https://www.afl.com.au/news/2019-10-27/concussion-symptoms-force-luckless-saint-to-put-afl-career-on-hold I think this article explains it better.
  13. On the AFL website in the videos in the under 18 section.
  14. Watch the games against SA and WA and you will see why he is right up there.
  15. What makes you think that regarding the top 5? I think Flanders will be right in the mix to go in that group.
  16. I don't think Flanders would slide outside of the top 8.
  17. Yeah thought it might have been that one (although personally I think the mark by Serong was much better than the kick in that instance, if 35 didn't fall over it wouldn't have got there).
  18. That was a poor pick ahead of Taranto and McCLugage. I agree with the concept that pick 3 is probably to high to for a specialist half back flanker, but from watching his highlights on the NAB League app he actually seemed to do quite well in at the clearances when on the ball and up forward.
  19. Which game? If your opinion is based on one game, then I hardly think it's a valid one. If you have seen him player 5 times for instance, then fair enough. I have only seen him play in the Vic Country vs WA game and then seen some highlights from the NAB League APP. I certainly have not seen nearly enough of him to make an opinion that he would be a disaster. He didn't have a great game in the one I saw but definitely saw some things to work with there, would need to see a lot more to make a solid judgement regarding his pace and if his marking will stack up at AFL level.
  20. Just so we can judge your opinion accordingly, can you please let us know when you have seen Serong play. Which games? or highlights packages are you basing this opinion on?
  21. I have no idea what kick you are talking about? When is this in the video?
  22. My point was more that if he is 7cm shorter, he would need to jump 7cm higher to reach a ball at the same height.
  23. So then Weightman would get his hands to a ball 7cm higher than Pickett?
  24. This is my concern also, I would like to see/hear how he went when playing as a midfielder. In the Vic Country vs WA game his kicking was a bit iffy once a bit more pressure was applied and while he is solid in the contest, he didn't really stand out with that aspect.
