What has happened to Clayton Oliver?
His lack of development is an enditment on all of our coaches, and we have enough of them. Needs to stick his tackles, run harder, stop stepping back into traffic, start absorbing tackles with forward momentum and hit a target by foot.

NON MFC: Round 05
If he pulls his finger out and fixes his attitude, I still think he could be a very good CHB. But probably more likely to go the way you think it will.

NON MFC: Round 05
Maybe if we didn't do such a stupid trade for Lever we could have used our actual first rounder in the May deal. Our list management has been crap.

NON MFC: Round 05
This is the job of the recruiting staff and list management team. Messed it up, there's no way around it.

NON MFC: Round 05
I'll admit to wanting Elliot but looks like we have dodged a bullet there. Has looked shocking all year.

TEAMS: Rd 05 vs Richmond
It is all related, football is a two way game. He either plays on the elite players or he needs to dominate offensively. He is doing neither at the moment. He didn't play on Darling or Kennedy in round 1, let's see how he goes against Riewoldt (jokes, we all know that it will be Smith). If he is not playing on a key player he needs to be giving a lot more drive than he does. I agree with your last point and that's why Jetta isn't playing now but if Lever doesn't play as a tall then he needs to do this.

So we are paying huge money for a lock dowdefender who is providing little offensively? The following players could easily do what Lever is doing better or would provide the same output for half the pay. Dodee, Gardiner, Docherty, Howe, Ryan, Sicily, Robertson, Haynes, Shepperd, Hurn, Stewart, Grimes, Vlaustin, Broad and I'm sure a stack more. If Lever was our 10th or 15th highest player I would judge him differently but we are not getting value for money.

Restrict them from having a big impact on the ggame. Steven May does this, bad trade, but not because he is a bad or overpaid player. We all do have the answer for this one, he doesn't play on quality players, he plays on weak links so never. Our backline gives us no run, partly because Jake Lever causes structural issues by not providing run and not playing as a tall. What does he provide?

TEAMS: Rd 05 vs Richmond
I posted this in the other thread where this stupid table was used but I'll do it again. Would love to see the number of 1 on 1s as opposed to a percentage. I think we can all trust our eyes and know that Lever is not a great one on on player and rarely takes the quality of players someone making that kind of money does. Can you tell me a game where he has shutdown a dangerous player? I genuinely can't think of one. Even when he had a decent patch for us in 2018 he was playing on very average players. Intercepts and spoils are a ridiculous stat to combine, I have no interest in a third man coming up and hitting a ball out of bounds, that is neutralizing a two on one.

CHANGES: Rd 05 vs Richmond
The concerning part is Gawn got 10 to Pittonett's 15. I can't seem to find the specific of Fort's from the game but I assume they were close to breaking even. He is playing against 2nd string Ruckman and not giving us the advantage we have come to expect. He also seems to give some absolute shockers most games straight to the opposition with no coverage from our midfield. He is as much of the problem as Oliver and everyone else in our midfield group at the moment.

Jake Lever.. Can someone explain??

A key back or an oversized, under skilled flanker?

Is Mahoney the right guy?
Even if it wasn't, it would have been Bailey Smith. Best to just try and forget about it.

CHANGES: Rd 05 vs Richmond
No we didn't. He got bid on at pick 10 by Carlton. Green looked good but is the last thing we needed.
