Pickett is not ready. If he was, he would have been named, plain and simple. He is not 100%, and will be another week or two away from coming back into thedemons squad. He is an impact player, i would hope we can bring him back when he is 100%, that way he willbuild the form that won us so many games last year. A 50% fit pickett is not worth playing.

If dunny is back and rounds into form within a few games (he was in good knick before the elbow to the face) it will put some heat on brad miller. Dunn provides another option up forward, and with pjs 28 hitouts agasint the cats vfl side miller is under the pump early. Hopefully millsy can turn it on. Good to hear that dunny is back in the picture

If he had chapman and okeefe along side our current team, i would pop down to the TAB and place a nice $1000 on the dees for the flag.

PJ 28 hit outs! That is a very solid performance. Pickett is a worry, we need him to be fit and ready. The fact he is still dealing with some weight issues concerns me. The pace of the VFL game is a tad slower than AFL, so one would imagine he will struggle upon returning. Hats off to Adem Yze, 32 touches. Looks like his time in the VFL will be short lived.

Should be a good year for brad. He put in a pretty good 06, carried a foot injury and played through the pain with pretty good results. We should see some vintage greeny on monday. The boys should be fired up for him. Best of luck greeny!

Dees are not in great knick.....but the Hawks are not much better. I think it will be a close encounter, it will be evenly paced or it will be an error fest. I am guessing Dees by 11 points.

I will be gutted if this kid missed more time. He deserves a long season and a chance to play finals footy. I hope all turns out ok for clint.

PJ has not earnt his selection, and CJ and TJ have done little to retain their selection. I can see a bright 07 for TJ and CJ, however PJ will have to work much harder to force jamar form the 2nd ruck spot.

I would be happy to have vossy in 3-4 years time after has has understudied at least one senior coach. If he replaced danners in 08, i would be VERY concerned. He has the makings of a good coach, however it would be a risk to appoint him so quickly due to his rawness. I thought Mark Bickley would have made a good coach, it seems the media got to him first.

Kruezer, Judd.......wont be coming to the dees. Even if we stumble against the hawks, it is hard to see us doing it for the rest of the year with the list we have.

i was thinking the EXACT same thing. Hudgton is injured, meaning they have a short bench. They are making huge errors and plyaing poor footy. The lions cant do a thing wrong. Couldnt agree more with you!

I think you will find Frawley was recruited to help balance out that back 6. Word is he is already up to standard and he would be playing if it were not for his fractured foot. Warnock looks ok also. Our back six will hit some form. Let us not forget that rivo was missing last week. He makes that back 6 look much better. I am more concerned with our general approach to the game, not the back 6.

Dropping Ben Holland after a blinder last week is as tasteless as asking a hooker is she would like to do the dishes after she has completed her "carnal duties". Benny should not be dropped. He was one of the VERY few guys who gave it their all against the saints. He deserves to play!

It is well documented the robert walls is a complete and utter tool. Wouldn't know his arse from his elbow! Robbo was a shining light against the saints. As for "taking hangers" he provides much more than that. Robbo is one of the very few players who can take mark well off balance, aerial and on the ground. He is also a very unselfish player. Always provides a marking option, no matter who or how many players play on him. Cant say that about many forwards in the comp. Robert Walls is a [censored].

Both side will have something to prove. The dees will come out and play better footy, and I am sure the hawks will ditch the chip kicking game and start to carry the pill in the gutz. I hope the hwaks play "chip to chip" so we can belt them. My gut tells me it will be close. Look for beamer to continue his good form, and davey to play a good game.

His time is up........ but who are we going to replace him with? We are short of matchwinners at the moment, sure yze is down, but he is a match winner. Pickett and syliva are still a week or 2 away, and we will already have to replace Brock. I think yzes time is up......but his luck couldnt be better. ONE more week, if his game doesnt improve, cut him for pickett or sylvia when they are ready to return.

I have said in more than one thread thta 07 is the year for colin. I stand by that. He will be given a chance to shine, and I honestly think he will be up to it this year. I think Colin will be the most improved player this year. CJ will prop up, and i HONESTLY believe that buckley will push for selection if he stays fit. Nice youth to look forward to in 07

Glad to see that whelan the wrecker will be available to take on the hawks. Whelan will be needed if the dees are to restore some pride agaisnt the hawks. His inclusion to the starting lineup is a massive bonus.
