  2. Well Dan Andrews is no longer premier of Victoria
  3. Only in the AFL could this happen: How AFL rivals plan to exploit trade loophole Fox Footy from Fox Sports Essendon and St Kilda are concocting a bold, never before seen trade/free agency play that has two stars at the centre of the move. Essendon and St Kilda are reportedly in negotiations that could see the Bombers land an extra first round pick at this year’s draft. According to The Herald Sun’s Jon Ralph, the clubs’ experienced list bosses Adrian Dodoro and Stephen Silvagni are concocting a trade and free agency ploy that could see an extra first round pick get created through free-agency compensation for St Kilda free agent Jade Gresham. The pick would then get handed back to the Bombers in a trade for midfielder Dylan Shiel. The Bombers are in the box seat to secure St Kilda mid-forward Jade Gresham as a restricted free agent, along with North Melbourne defender Ben McKay, who has already nominated the Dons as his nominated destination as a restricted free agent. In essence, the Bombers would pay Gresham enough to trigger band one compensation – a first-round draft pick after the Saints’ first pick (currently 12) or an end-of-first-round pick (19 before other compo picks and Academy bids move it back). That pick would then be traded back to Essendon in a deal that would see Dylan Shiel land at St Kilda, in a move that would bolster the Saints engine room. The rationale behind the deal would be Essendon clearing Shiel’s remaining salary off their books for the final year of his contract, to increase some flexibility in their salary cap, to help bring in their two free-agent targets. It has the benefit for Essendon of handing them a handy draft pick, while turning Shiel into McKay. At St Kilda, it means they effectively swap Gresham (who they don’t really want at this point) for Shiel.
  4. I will walk to China if it does not happen. Can only hope North does not get Pick 4 otherwise there will be some serious outrage, but the AFL won't care.
  5. I'm sure the boys at Sportbet will be liking there chops this morning, very few would have predicted Lochie Neale. Would be nice to have coaches/captains do the voting but there is no chance of that happening.
  6. They should have moved to Gold Coast when they had the chance, would have been a good long term option. It also means they could pick up Gold Coasts Pick 4 and thus Picks 2,3 and 4 once Mckay leaves. Absolute joke and feel for other clubs trying to rebuild.
  7. Very glad I was there to see it, but need one more at the G for the MFC's to be permanently removed.
  8. They have Jordan Croft lined up as a father son who is rated in the top 12, hence they can trade the picks.
  9. Can we have a "Maynard gets injured in the first minute" option.
  10. Now lets cross to Ikon park:
  11. Brisbane would be another 3 goals ahead if not for umpiring
  12. These umps are imcompitent
  13. Country Road time
  14. Chocolate and Alcohol helps Jaded.
  15. If Brisbane pull this off then I give them a shot.
  16. If we had a timeout rule Brisbane would be ringing the bell
  17. This is not looking good
  18. Sounds like more Carlton supporters there, they are making some noise. They must breed well.
  19. If Brisvegas cant win it this year then they never will. Lions by 27 or heaven help us if Carlton pull this off.
  20. Yes I imagine we will be drafting one of these 3 which seems fine on face value.
  21. https://www.sen.com.au/news/2023/09/23/tom-morris-update-on-all-the-big-afl-trade-period-names/ Gold Coast’s pick 4 “There’s a clear front-runner now and it’s the Western Bulldogs. They’ve got picks 10, 17 and 36, which gives the Gold Coast Suns what they want. “This doesn’t mean that Melbourne or Adelaide or any other club is completely out of it, but I do think it is the Dogs’ to lose now and I think there’s an acknowledgement from the Suns that the Dogs are the frontrunners, too.”
  22. Becuase North or whoever grabs Pick 4 will take him
