  1. And your record is great is it? Keep up the love affair with hacks it makes me laugh.
  2. I put it down to Thompson a proven coach. McCartney was at the right place at the right time like Neeld was at Collingwood.
  3. I thought he was the most outstanding player in the SA V VIC METRO game. He singlehandedly kept them in the game, he seems to have it all, he can take a mark, he's quick, good at run and carry and has a real x factor about him that I didn't see in Petracca or Brayshaw. Didn't see much inside work from him which must be his only downside. Sounds like he could go to Collingwood at pick 5.
  4. What about Neeld? Premiership coach at Collingwood, we must of failed Neeld.
  5. Nah he's a gun coach with a winning % of 30 he will go down as one of the great coaches of the modern era. The discontent at the Bulldogs all year was just a myth. Undoubtedly the greatest coach we have had since Norm Smith.
  6. We already know. Play Viney on him. McCartney was a failure at the Bulldogs, hated by all. How is this a good get? Just sounds like another reject at Melbourne, we would be just as well off going for Neeld as a development coach.
  7. Howe was supposed to be a smokey and people thought he would go late in the draft with a pick in the 50's. It was a midfielders draft and we went with all talls, I still don't understand the logic behind that decision. I don't know if we got the Howe decision right when Parker was still available (I know who I would rather have), if we got him at pick 50 instead of Davis then we would have won.
  8. Your being a bit dramatic aren't you? Our recruiting had been dreadful, no use hiding from it.The article is clearly flawed anyway. As if Wines and Motlop can't get ahead of Goldsack and Scott Selwood in the starting 18. We only got Bail and McDonald right, something Prendergast can hang his hat on. What a recruiter he was? How bad was the 2012 draft? No one's made us pay for recruiting Jones and Terlich. They are also being very nice to Taylor, we could of got Dunstan instead of Salem and we could of got Ben Brown ahead of Kennedy-Harris.
  9. I don't think it would be a factor at all. He could go to any other Victorian club and still spend time with Bernie if he wanted to.
  10. I don't see why they wouldn't give him every chance to prove himself in the pre season and if he doesn't prove his worth then he doesn't play RND1 like any recruit, he doesn't have much competition TBH.
  11. Even if Roos is anti talls it doesn't mean he can't be persuaded or even overruled on picking a tall. I remember Danny Frawley saying he was overruled by the recruiters when he wanted Pavlich and they went for Fiora, so it can happen.
  12. There is no chance in hell that Walker will land at Melbourne. No proven gun will go to a bottom club like Melbourne, it just doesn't make sense. The only thing we can do is what the Bulldogs did and throw money at an unproven kid.
  13. None of the players there interest me one bit. Definitely wouldn't go for Mitch Brown 636 VFL games is heavy workload, he must be tired.
  14. The Hawks and Swans win games, we don't that's the difference. Jones wants success, said so in his B&F if we can't give him success and pay him at market value he will walk to a stronger club no doubt about it. Just like going for a gun free agent we are going to pay massive overs for Jones until we look like or are more successful and he deserves to get paid overs, he has been our only gun for many years. 500 or 600k a year won't do it. Dawes gets 500 a year doesn't he? As does Hogan, who is worth a lot more?
  15. I don't think you can do that. You have to use a pick to promote Jetta on the senior list and Trenners can only be replaced by a rookie when he goes on the LTI list.
  16. Just going on what Twomey said. 18 months\12 months doesn't matter no one has been out for as long as he has and been picked up that high. Lever has never played in the midfield, he might only be a half back.
  17. Petracca can play half forward if he hasn't got an engine. He can take a grab and can kick goals, it would be insane to let him slide. How do you know that Lever has an engine? He's been out for 18 months and never played in the midfield. I think if we go for the Brayshaw, Petracca, Lever combo I think we will throw our money at Tomlinson, he's less known than Treloar and Sheil so the money we throw at him should scare the better clubs that are after him while throwing massive amounts of cash to Treloar or Sheil probably won't scare away the better clubs away as they are proven guns.
  18. Tapscott will be delisted. Pick 53 will be used for Jetta and PSD2 won't be used everybody else is contracted aren't they? Melbourne are too tight to pay out contracts.
  19. I can't believe it! This could tear the club apart, they were both loyal.
  20. Why? Opinion or do you know something?
  21. Our forward line is the worst in the league by a country mile. Dawes has never kicked more than 30 goals in a season, Hogan hasn't played a game yet, Pederson kicked only 14 goals for the year and Watts only kicked 13. We need both midfielders and key forwards cos we are not even close to having an average forward line. I don't know how many people listen to road to the draft but I thought it was interesting that Twomey said that Lever was the bolter and was now in the top 5 with Melbourne very keen on him (you could of sworn that he was reading Demonland)with McCartin possibly slipping to 4 if he doesn't go at 1 and Wright slipping to 6, can't remember who Collingwood were after at pick 5 but I think they were after more pace. I think the experts will be saying that GWS are the big winners if they can grab both McCartin and Wright after losing Boyd. I hope TSFKA is right and we won't need to choose between McCartin and Lever. Lever has to be the riskiest selection of all time, no one has missed 18 months of football and been picked so high.
  22. I think I know the reason behind the love affair for Lever. It's because GNF said that Roos likes him, GNF casts a spell like no other on Demonland. Lever has done his knee, he's not quick, too skinny to play key, never played in the midfield. I really don't see what he's got going for him, would be amazed if we picked him up at 3. Not sure if there is any love out there for Wright he only has 17 votes.
  23. Watts can and has been used in the midfield. Gawn as our second ruck, he's generally poor up forward which is why there is merit in drafting Wright who can play both roles. I'd have Gawn ahead of Pederson (dropped 3 out of the last 4 weeks)and Fitzpatrick (played only 4 games). Garland is the interesting one. He had a really poor last half of the year and I really don't see a position for him now that we have brought in Frost, lucky for Garland that we have nothing in the midfield when it comes to depth to replace him. Bail and Michie are honest so they could replace him, Salem and Kennedy-Harris couldn't get a kick at the end of the year and Toumpas, McKenzie and M.Jones simply aren't up to it.
  24. Struggling at Casey the last time I checked.
