Maynard looks like a gun he has to be promoted and besides Brayshaw who was injured early the rest of the Melbourne listed players are list cloggers we unfortunately only bat 26 deep, so we have a long way to go depth wise.

You can trade a player that's under contract as long as it's not the first year of his contract like JKH, Stretch and Frost can't be traded.

How do we need a spud that's only a thug? Watts has run out chances he must be put on the table. Vince should retire.

We need a full back and Lever is our man so we can play T.Mac up forward so he doesn't butcher the ball down back. Our clanger kings in O.Mac and Frost can fight it out for the CHB spot.

I don't think Adelaide would even look at those players. They struggle to get a game for us let alone get a game for Adelaide. Watts has currency which that list you mention have none. Remember that Lever was in the AA squad so they will want quality for Lever if he is on the move.

Frost won't get it done he's not in our best 22 and Watts is barely in our best 22. If I was Adelaide I would want a senior player and a first rounder.

Just get the deal done. Watts, Frost and a first rounder should get it done.

His old man played for Norf so I doubt it. Were better off going for Lever as our midfield is looking alright compared to our defence.

He's a good VFL player nothing more. Hopefully he gets the treatment that Kennedy has got so it doesn't matter how you play at VFL level you won't get a game at AFL level. Hopefully they delist him at seasons end.

Proven players will not go to a bottom club, Carlton continually stagnate. Kelly will want some kind of success it hard to see Carlton having success in the near future. Essendon or us would be a better chance

Stupid thread. Let's try and make the finals first. The next 3 games are basically elimination finals for us.

IN: HANNAN, WEIDEMAN, BRAYSHAW OUT: MELKSHAM, HARMES, PEDERSEN Watts shouldn't get dropped he's too important. He's not the only one out of form the whole team is out of form. There tackling pressure and 2 way running has been disgraceful the last 2 weeks. We were lucky not to get beaten by 10 goals, on a positive note Maynard looks like he can play the game.

Tanking doesn't happen anymore now that they have taken away the priority pick away so it really is a dumb move to tank. There is very little difference between picks 1,2 and 3 usually anyway. All tanking will do is create losing culture.

Who is in and who is out then.

Pedersen replaced Gawn perfectly, but he is a player that has to play well most weeks to keep his spot. Can we find a replacement for Jones and Viney for the next month? That's the question. Lewis, Vince and Tyson will have to lift and the fringe players will have to show that they are AFL standard to keep their spot when given the chance.

This thread has come around at least a week too early. We had enough depth to cover our ruckman, do we have enough depth to cover our midfield? We will see what our fringe players are really made of. ANB, JKH, Harmes, Kennedy, J.Smith, White, Wagner, Maynard, Kent, Weideman, Pedersen, Trengove and Melksham will need to show us what they are made of if they want to be more than just good VFL players. I'm looking forward to the Carlton game win that game and we suddenly don't have any depth lose and then we may have a problem.
