MFC 2024 BEST & FAIREST NIGHT
Exactly. What I was reminded of tonight is that we have a fantastic core of players (past and present) that deserve our continued appreciation and support, for they are the 'team we love'. As supporters, let's do everything we can to ensure the off field component is as engaged and focussed as them.

Jim Plunkett departs Melbourne
You don't co-found a legit company in 2 weeks. This has been planned for some time. We just didnt know it.

Oliver Trade Rumours
if you value club loyalty, don't bother.

Rory Sloane to the Dees as Assistant Coach?
Jamie was pick 35 and played 87 games of AFL, more than most at that pick. Rory was pick 44. Just about every club had a couple of picks before he was selected. Were all those clubs pathetic? Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Trade Targets
Serious question. He has ties to both WA and SA, and has been linked to both states. He has a 5 month old baby now which puts a different slant on things, as many of us will appreciate. He has stated he's homesick, but where is home? If he states either/or, I would be less sympathetic.

2024 Trade Radio
Yep, that was the point I was trying to make, The other 10 hours will be padding and waffle. I'll rely on them and/or Demonland mostly.

2024 Trade Radio
Maybe between 12-1, if at all.

2024 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Maybe our next coach will come through the Demonland system as well. There are so many here that would do a much better job..........apparently 😏

Nathan Bassett to Dees as Forwards Coach?
I was kinda hoping we would have spoken Tom Hawkins. 🙄
-
Brayden Preuss - Delisted
Max likes everyone - although, we've never met. 😔

The Melbourne - Norwood connection
Another close final loss for the Redlegs! Norwood were going for their 32nd Premiership. What an amazing club. Speaking to officials there, I know they feel an affinity with the MFC. That’s good enough for me. ❤️💙

NON-MFC: Preliminary Finals
You're not flying, Ken. You're not flying! F*wit

Goodwin is the MAN!
Hopefully, we will eat the Cats and the Dogs (a'la R.1) again next year.

You can't wait 5 mins? 😉

The Melbourne - Norwood connection
I bought a Redlegs hoodie (very vice) directly from the club when I visited mid year. Spoke to a club employee about the Melbourne/Norwood link and the mutual appreciation we share. He is actually a nephew of Graham Molloy who played for both clubs. He also gave us Norwood member merch for free, which was nice. I love their ground and the suburb to be truthful. We will be watching it on our couch, casting from the AFL app to TV.

NON-MFC: Semi Finals
Exactly. Believe me, I don't like Ginnivan and the 'Americanisation' of our sport, on field and off. Nor am I a Hawthorn lover. Knowing one of these sides would lose was the only thing I was looking forward to, other than the excitement all finals bring. The Hinkley apology at his presser has cooled my anger a little but, as Maya Angelou said "When someone shows you who they are, believe them" Hinkley has form. He started the all player hit Max Gawn at every off ball moment, that has been adopted league wide, and is mostly not penalised. Ironically, he played as an 'outside' player himself, but coaches players to snipe, antogonise and intimidate. He has always been an ungracious victor. His club now has to defend his petulant and immature actions instead of celebrating a tight contest and an upcoming Prelim. I am certain he hasn't helped his long term coaching aspirations, despite the victory. Initially, I wondered what Sicily was on about and critical of his actions. Once I saw Kenny the K was the instigator, it all became clear. I then flipped and respected James for backing his team-mate and club, especially as they were coming together to honour a Hawthorn legend. I believe the Swans will have a lot more barracking for them next week than they would have otherwise. I certainly will.

NON-MFC: Semi Finals
Excellent. It's never too late to see the light.

NON-MFC: Semi Finals
Yeah, nah. One is 21yo texting a former team-mate, the other is a 57yo showing the world what he truly is. The sooner he is sacked, the better.

NON-MFC: Semi Finals
I have never respected Hinkley. Tonight he again showed his lack of class. I didn't think I could like him less, but has he sunk to a low that will be hard for anyone to match. F*wit!

NON-MFC: Semi Finals
9 times in the first 11 years, but just 2 in the past 14 (so far). Still, an amazing stat.

Time to go Goody?
I'm not in the sack Goodwin camp, but accept no-one at the club is immune from scrutiny, especially in the current climate. Agree that game plans are best formulated and practiced pre season. However, anyone that was at the R.2 game against Hawthorn and saw the rubbish game style they displayed against us, compared to how they play now, will know things can change dramatically, and for the better. You just need the b*lls and the nous to do it.

Jeff 'Wiz' Farmer
Behind only Robbie as my favourite all-time Dee to watch live. His 9 goal half against the filth, his Waverley goal, his mark on Garry's head. I saw them all live and so much more. The true 'Wiz' of the AFL. What a player!

Former MFC President Joe Gutnick calls to make club-shaking moves
Good name for a racehorse. Every footy fan will know its origin.
