Like many, Jeff is is confidence player. He has been amazingly consistent over several years. He generally chases and has 2nd/3rd and 4th efforts. His position has been called starvation corner over the years (although in the modern game who knows) and it's no coincidence that the few that excel in that role are seen as exceptional talents (eg Rioli & Betts). Play him the next 2 weeks and then we have a bye and he can have a mental break. I'm sure he will be back firing very soon. Only if his effort drops should any action need be considered within the next month. Jeff has got a few credits in the bank and we as supporters should be backing him. FFS if we start listening to Barrett and Lloyd then WE have lost the plot!

In the 22! Not being smart, but positions have little relevance in the modern game. It's more a role than a position players have now.

Statistically correct but I don't count 4 minutes as playing a game of football which is why I said virtually.

That won't be answered until he's tested at AFL after he has had a couple more runs under his belt. You may well be proved right, but he is definitely good enough and an absolute inspiration. I'm backing him in.

As stated - seeing it's his 2nd game in 2 years one would expect that part of his game would improve considerably with game time. As the youngest ever appointed AFL captain I think he has proven his credentials at the highest level. We will see him in the seniors by June.

Trengove, in virtually his 2nd game in 2 years has 25 possessions until 3/4 time. FANTASTIC!!!!!

After much confusion in the box Casey radio informs us Sam Weideman is the son of Mark and grandson of Murray with the comment "you heard it here first"

Within Juniors tantrum lies the salient point. We are all loving v.2016 Jack Watts and so glad he is still with us. But he is still in debit as far as many are concerned over his career. Previous criticism has been warranted as is the current praise. It was not wrong and we need not apologise. If he continues this phase as long as he did his previous then we will be very pleased indeed and more likely to be a successful football team.

Agree with this. Not yet impressed with Frost as a footballer, but he is inexperienced and apparently a super athlete so I still am hopeful. He has a much better chance to learn if left to develop as a back where his pace can be best used to apply pressure and build self confidence. I was very concerned when 2 bigs were replaced by mids yesterday. A 3rd tall back is essential in any team IMO and O Mac is not ready. That said - Dunn if/when fit has to play - his footy smarts were sorely missed yesterday.

Without bagging Oscar I feel the same way PF. OM is still a project player in my book and I strongly doubt the selectors would have been so brave if Cameron was playing. Still, I trust the club's decision making more than ever before and I love they gave an explanation on selection decisions when announcing the team. Another example on how far we have come.

We have no idea where we fit in this. I wouldn't be casting stones even if we do come out relatively clean. Can happen anytime, anywhere with anyone - no matter how good your club culture is.
