It’s been well known that our forward line has been a mess… so while I agree our defence and midfield has been in the top 5, our forward half would probably have been mid table at best

Carlton - Cripps, Curnow, McKay, Wetering & Walsh Brisbane - Neale, Dunkley, Daniher, Andrew, Cameron Bulldogs - Bont, Libba, Naughton, Jamarra, English Pies - N Daicos, J Daicos, Moore, Pendlebury, Sidebottom Swans - Gulden, Warner, Heeney, Papley and up until this year Franklin Every side in the top 8-12 teams atm has genuine stars running around. It just takes a bit of luck and to get your game going at the right time to win a flag.

So who is Kynan Brown replacing in our side? He is a first year rookie and is nowhere near ready for AFL yet, given his slight frame. I was sad to see Bedford go, but to be honest Chandler is just a good a small forward as he is. The James Jordon one was unfortunate, as I think he would've stayed had Gus immediately retired before the trade period. I've got a feeling he will find himself as the sub or even out of the Swans team now that Mills and potentially PArker come back.

Just on the bombers side, their defence is quite undersized with Laverde out. They’ve got McKay (202cm), Ridley (195cm but more a lever type player) and then Redman 187cm. I would definitely be looking to exploit that if I were the coaches.

Well we won that comfortably so not sure how you can claim that? Unless you have a super dominant ruckman it can be a bit of a wasted position

Tbf there’s not much difference in height between Fullarton (200cm) and Petty (197cm). Fullarton isn’t really a genuine first ruck, so can understand their rationale. I imagine if it doesn’t work well they will likely change next season week.

But I do think given how easy it is these days to get a 1 week suspension they need to review the brownlow rules. Getting a one week suspension now doesn’t mean you aren’t a ‘fair’ player

I think the Casey team was run very differently when Fev played there, but I understand your point.

The main problem with the Casey team is the unlisted players are BOG ordinary other than White and Freeman. It would be pretty hard to play in that side when those players are constantly turning it over. The club and Casey need to get together to go out and get some good senior players to help ensure our VFL is strong again. Only a few years ago we had guys like Munro, Buntine, Ellison, Hutchins all running around.

Freo currently have 3 first round picks... their own and one tied to the Magpies and another tied to Port Adelaide. You would imagine they will trade at least one of those into next year, which given our trading history we may try to get.

I think it shows how much of a professional and hard worker Max is.... it wasn't the club saying this, it his him. If you've seen his home setup he has (spa, sauna, ice bath etc) you would know why he could get back so quickly.
