I'm quite happy to move Watts on for the right price (late first early second) or if it is part of bigger plan to bring in other players like Lever. I just think the ability to pressure is more important than precision passing. Especially in finals.

His main issue is the impact will be seen as high with Sheil out for the game. It's the way they determine things that is the problem. If you're eyes are for the ball it should be irrelevant what happens because there is always going to be incidents where someone gets hurt, it's a contact sport.

I agree with this. There are times using the handballs to release an open player is important, but I'd like to see us back the players in more and get the ball moving forward. It means the forwards need to always been in the right position to contest and not allow easy marks. The Hawks did this well during their glory years. They wouldn't always move the ball with precision, but they would always get it moving forward with little knock ons.

Could go down as one of the greats of the Melbourne Football Club and could potentially be the best player in the comp. Absolutely love him! Take it to another level in 2018 Clarry!

I understand your concerns. But all red doesn't really do it for me either. I want to be as close to our 'traditional' jumper as possible and a lighter blue could do that. If they go with a red jumper I hope they put some genuine thought into it rather than just slapping an emblem on it!

I think we are paying him slight overs at his current market rate to get him to the club in the hope he pays 8-10 years with us.

I think the club should look at an alternative with a lighter blue (similar to the Dog's) that we can wear against Carlton, St Kilda, Adelaide & Essendon. Would anyone be against that when comparing it to the white? In regards to the GF, if there is a 'clash' as determined by the AFL, then surely the team who finished higher gets to choose? 100% agree with this. I've watched him closely and he is fairly useless. Has good speed but doesn't get enough of it and isn't damaging. A trade of Watts for Atley would be a loss on our part.

Hawthorn with Mitchell. Geelong with Dangerfield. At least Collingwood didn't have to give up a decent player. Picks are all speculative. I'm backing our recruiters in to make the right calls though. They've had a great track record the last 2-3 years.

I don't see why sides like Geelong, Collingwood and Hawthorn can just trade picks for gun players but then we have to give up a lot more? F' em. We offer a first and 2nd round pick and that's it.

The only reason we will part with Watts or Salem will be to get another player like Gaff. We have the picks to satisfy Adelaide on the Lever trade and as history shows, a player gets to their club of choice more often than not. I am not adverse to trading Watts or Salem if it is part of a larger deal but not just for Lever. For what it's worth I'd prefer to trade Watts than Salem due to their respective ages and the need for a large number of quality mids to be successful.

I'll be pretty disappointed if we trade him. He only just turned 22 and has dealt with a lot of injuries and illnesses early in his career. Before getting injured he played some great games.

Think he has one more good year in him and it will be played 85% across half back. We have enough young midfielders that he shouldn't be needed in there for long periods. Could still get a fifth flag if everything comes together!

What they want and what they'll get is two different stories. Lever is out of contract which means their leverage is already diminished. I think Pick 10 & Pick 27 will get it done.

Agree with this. There were a few times where he did this, burst through and slotted goals from 55 out. On other occasions he seemed to hesitate and would try a chip kick which wouldn't come off. He's the kind of player that just always has to back himself as he will kick the goal 9 times out of 10.

I don't really understand how people with absolutely no information about an injury, can then say might be time to give it away?
