I agree with your points, however I don't believe that is a reason to quit running the competition. I think it is great that hey are building the game and promoting women's sport, while acknowledging the level of play is far superior to men's AFL. But if they want it to succeed long term they have to make changes and the field size I think is on of them.

How ridiculous by the AFL to ask the teams to play a certain way. Amateur hour stuff. The answer is fairly simple, shorten the length of the field. The average AFL men's player kicks 50m. The average woman probably kicks 30m. The MCG is 160m long. If you kick directly down the middle it should take 3 kicks for the men to score, however it will take the women 5-6 kicks. Reduce the field size by 30 metres and there will be a lot more goals.

Really like he way he goes about it. Absolute professional and will get every ounce of talent out of his body. I'm also really interested to see how young Dion Johnstone goes this year. Picks after the top 10 are overrated these days. Free agency has completely changed the landscape. We've got an outstanding young core of Hogan, Petracca, Weideman, Viney, Oliver, Hunt, ANB, Lever, Salem, Brayshaw & OMac, plus others who may still come on like Harmes, Stretch, Balic, Johnstone. We don't need heaps of draft picks in the next 2-3 years, we need free agents and ready to go players to fill needs. I've got a feeling the Watts movement is a part of that with someone like Gaff a FA at the end of the year. It's time we put all our eggs in the winning a flag basket.

Seems to be a smooth mover. Not lightning quick, but enough leg speed to be damaging. Hold hopes he can turn into a solid player on the wing and replace Vince & Lewis as they move on over the next 2 years.

I'd say they may be looking to do a 2 for 1 upgrade and maybe pick up a de-listed free agent as well.
