don't agree. The coaches more a lot more than the umps 2 key forwards won the coaches award - Barry Hall and Treadrea Reiwoldt won an MVP defenders seemingly get screwed by everyone!
-
I remember Scarlett getting 3-4 votes when he won the BnF for Geelong (pretty sure this is right) The Brownlow is a joke. Umpires clearly don't understand the game. Buddy/Carey can't win one but Priddis/Woewodin do?

details!!? what's the young man's name??
-
I'd be surprised if he played more than half a dozen good games for the rest of his career. he has played less than 50% of games over the past 3 seasons and will be almost 34yo when the season starts his body is not holding up. Cats would be mad to give up more then 'the old pick 88'. you certainly wouldn't want to sign him to more than one year

Anyone got Melb votes. Missed the telecast. Cheers.

Love how Jono Brown just called the selwoods out for playing for free kicks and the umps falling for it. Finally someone in the media saying it like it is

hard to see GWS not winning 3 from the next 5 flags now that Kelly and whitfield etc have signed they were smashed by injuries this year and still made the prelim at least the next best teams around are Crows/Geelong/Tigers/sydney. no other power teams around Love Roosy by the way

Jake Lever is no Bernie replacement. Lever will partner O Mac or Frosty as the talls down back
-
i could be wrong he wasn't dropped and was best 22 all year, so what's gonna change over summer? recruit a few guns in?
-
Well done Bernie! could surprise a few next year. He has been an inconsistent player all through his career - probably 3 outstanding seasons, a few good, a few average. I reckon he has another good one left, sit him on the wing/HHF
-
regardless of what happens with Gaff its good to see that WC are looking like they may have some lean years
-
Trade him out!! then realise he is what we need and trade him back in

West Sydney Wanderers had 62K turn up for round 1 of the A league last year, not even a final. and this is a team that has only been around as long GWS with much less money behind them no-one goes to NRL coz its shyte
-
Just shows they have zero support and west Sydney has zero interest in the Afl in general. Usually for finals esp in a new area that would be a novelty factor where neutrals might come along. Pathetic crowd. Assume upto 5K WC fans were there. And taking into account the big crowd the wanderers got in their very first season in soccer this is looking like a disaster for the afl. Their guns will get sick playing in front of no one soon

Not sure who I hate more Probably Scully drags gws over the line for me

I assume all the Watts talk is just rumours and BS? or has anyone got any concrete information?

Apparently Zac Tuoey has been "great all year" take it easy Bruce just call the game

VFL Semi Final - Casey Demons v Richmond VFL
DubDee replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
The Tigers kicking was horrible last night and it didnt seem to hurt. more emphasis on pressure acts these days. caddy, prestia and their smalls have poor kicking skills. not sure I like where the game is heading -
Aside from the frantic pressure being impressive the quality of football last night was terrible. Like watching under 8's play chasing the ball. Every kick went down the line Hopefully with lever hibberd Lewis Salem ect down back we can kick through this pressure like the Hawks used to. Whilst also applying the pressure up fwd

I reckon Gus's kicking skills are good. He is very good on his non-preferred which is a rarity and he can kick it flat and a fair distance. more importantly he has that footy nouse of knowing where to kick to advantage he has barely had a run at it at AFL level but once he does the errors will dry up

4 years of linear improvement from MFC 6 years of linear regression from the pies it is beautiful to watch. Pies have nothing to crow about. They were the youngest premiers, at the start of a massive premiership window and seemingly, deliberately fked it up! and continue to shoot themselves in the foot by signing a bloke that clearly cannot coach
