why would he be that desperate to do an interview?? sounds like a bad cover-up story to what really happened
-
An injection of youth will hopefully have the desired effect. After trading away early picks over the past few years it is great to have some first year quality players coming into the side. Can't wait for Saturday arvo!!
-
Nice and short injury list although its unfortunate there are three talls on there. a couple more talls go down and we'll be stretched
-
Can I get my cardboard cut out taken to the pub at 3/4 time??
-
Holy Moley! great pics, thanks DL Rivers looks like he's done 3 preseasons already!
-
Back up Ruck, De Koning injured today, will miss round 2. Kruezer injured as usual Gawny licking his lips (and clarry) Pittonet the only other ruck on their senior list from what I can tell
-
is there an overall plan for the season if things go well? 17 rounds then finals? or is it just 4 weeks, then reassess?
-
Got the beanies. im not very social media savvy but I did the # and @ thing on facebook for fill the G. not sure what will happen from here but might be interesting to see how they virtually fill the G

Fristch Petracca melksham t Mac even spread from these guys i reckon. Kozzie pitching in too

I know. I just wouldn’t risk his calves, especially after doing one a couple months ago. Hopefully some intra club matches can be played soon
-
Media trying to hype up a Bennell early return but we would be mad to play him without a prolonged base of full training under his belt. He hasn’t played for years. If he trains fully and plays out practice matches over a couple of months then try him

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BENNELL
DubDee replied to Tinks's topic in Melbourne Demons
If Harley plays 70+ games for us I will become a religious man and pray to the great Burgess daily -
Sacked: Brock McLean reveals booze and drug binges
DubDee replied to whatwhat say what's topic in Melbourne Demons
I can’t think of a better place to find out you’ve been sacked -
No way it will have the same status as other seasons. By mid June, it will be good if we get can through 10+ games and a couple of finals. We won't know how it will be judged until afterwards but it feels more like an experiment than a season at the moment. I'd settle for some entertainment and a few wins
-
Have to say I have some level of excitement at this news. my life is so dull at the moment, I'd tune in to watch them train! even if they are fairly meaningless games, I'll be tuning in for some entertainment
-
So no points, draft picks or big fine for the Crows. Tom Browne at his finest! one coach misses 6 weeks. that's it.
-
Surely you realise we are in a state of emergency until 11th May so it is not possible they get the green light in april. might as well just pick any random date for round 2. it means little
-
More arrogance from the AFL. What's the point in announcing a return date? The AFL do not control if the season commences. Maybe wait until more than 2 people are allowed to exercise together? which might be 4 weeks or longer
-
I am not getting my hopes up about the season. Although Victoria is tracking well and things locally could start up soonish, interstate flights too soon would be a bad move. unless we kick the 2 sydney teams out of the comp which I fully support ?
-
Victoria is down to 325 active cases and are only seeing roughly 10 new cases per day. great work Vics! keep this up and hopefully things can get back on track soon
-
the point is - to say the number if cases we have NOW is 1200+ is incorrect. There are 480 active cases The medical experts provide the data. Then the government and media play it how they want
-
TheAge article title: "From Babies to patients in their 90's, there are now 1241 COVID cases in Victoria" Incorrect, there are 480 cases, the rest have recovered. any chance of giving us the full picture?
-
~1200 cases in Victoria. more than half have recovered. The curve is flattening for sure (although don't tell the general public). I reckon Andrews has done pretty well in a tough spot. hopefully things will be turn around for us soon!

If only it were this simple. We will need to make hard calls soon. if we relax restrictions it will lead to some people dying but we can't stay like this forever and how long with a vaccine take? I'm glad we are so isolated in Australia, we should be able to manage this (with some damage caused) over time. Staying in lockdown all year is not the answer in my opinion
