Like the idea of a late arvo kick off. Im getting too old to start drinking at 11am. A BBQ and crack the first can at 2pm works for me. or if im out, the game finishes at 7pm so prefect for kicking on
-
Agree and its a pretty average team. I Don't rate their list management. this time last year people were saying they were locks for the 8 and some saying the top 4!
-
so thinking positively for round 1, if we get no more injuries, it could be down to just AVB and Smith? I haven't heard anything worrying about Jeffy so I assume he will be right?

THE BOMBERS' DOPING SAGA - THE FAT LADY SINGS
DubDee replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in General Discussion
Colin Silvia harley Bennell the obvious next step is Hird. Wtf is going on? It’s like people expect us to forget he is a drug cheat -
Maybe if there was some proof that helmets reduced concussions, you might consider it
-
"one things for sure, Essendon will finish higher than last year" how the F is that certain? guess it is good if they are being over hyped. they already have longish term injuries to 3 players. if Merrett/Hurley or Daniher go down they are fooked man I hate the bombers
-
I expect 200 other fines from the weekend then. WT actual F! contact centre!

Does anyone else spit a bit of saliva out when they yell FRITSCH? apologies to the row in front in 2018

Gees it is getting hard to pick a 22!! probably will have a couple injured/unavailable for round 1 you would assume though

that feeling when your notable absentees are far from notable

Melbourne reveal plans to unleash Jesse Hogan into midfield mix
DubDee replied to What's topic in Melbourne Demons
Is this coz we have so many quality tall forwards? wtf? play the bloke up front in his position. he is by far our best tall fwd. the odd run in the midfield is fine to mix it up but regular midfield time? dont get it -
The best Leadership group I can remember us having

According to the stats our midfield is below average
DubDee replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Duncan is the 'Ringo' of that group the two Sydney teams have far superior midfields to Geelong imo. Ablett will do well to play 12 games -

would you have them higher or lower? seems about fair to me. would have collingwood behind them though -
Would like to see him encouraged to take the next step even if not overly comfortable with the title as I think he would flourish further with T Mac up front, we need him to be a more vocal leader, organising the defence. even though Lever is down there and the oldies will help out off half back

Man the commercialisation is horrible. Kicking a zooper?? Wtf. I know it's only aflx but how long until it's hogan with 2 Zoopers and 4 Pepsis. The afl selling out
-
Any idea what the crowd is like?
-
wonder why they are not playing this at Aami on the rectangler ground? round-ball football is played at Etihad it would be much better to watch and not many will be there so atmosphere would be better

Preseason Training Week commencing - 05/02/18
DubDee replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
20 player squad required for that Ex-AFL rubbish on friday so that would disrupt our chances of having an intra-club, you'd think -
When Danger and Selwood win it in the middle, they will shank it straight down lever's throat. Very unlikely they will all be fit for round one. Veterans tend to not train much in preseason so our youth will get the jump on them
-
ive seen this come in a little in the AFL last year. Players eg Daniher rustling an opponents hair or jumping on their back after scoring a goal on them. you would think it is common decency to show a bit of respect but apparently not. if things like this continue, it should be looked at but you'd hope clubs handle it in house. surely we don't need a 'Dont be a [censored]' rule
-
just over 3 weeks to go until our practice matches start and 7 weeks until Round 1 Can we get excited yet?!?! Im already there With only 2 hit outs before round 1 I would expect the best and fittest ~29 to play.
-
before the last round of last year we were paying $11 to miss finals and now we are similar odds to win the flag before the seasons starts (I don't have a point, just the first edition of 'DubDee's OddSpot')
-
Scott Selwood could miss round 1 V Dees.
DubDee replied to Bring-Back-Powell's topic in Melbourne Demons
oh THAT selwood -
Sloane is a very good player, but not a star thats worthy of big bucks IMO. he went missing a fair bit last season when tagged don't get me wrong, a very good player and leader
