I think part of the reason we got rid of him was a ‘culture’ thing. Regardless of whether or not we’d like him back, it won’t happen.
-
When he got to Port they gave him the nickname ‘Basil.

Believe it or not.........he does

He lives in North Coogee so you could be onto something DC.

My eyes on the street tell me Alistair Clarkson has been spotted house shopping in North Coogee, a suburb not too far from Fremantle and Fremantle FC’s home base. #HasETblownthiswideopen?

Lyon: Save $$ on Tomlinson, Go All ln on Whitfield
Ethan Tremblay replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yep, and other clubs always seem more willing than us to pay more $ and offer longer contracts to get the established A graders. Also, Tomlinson is all but guaranteed, obviously Whitfield isn’t. I understand they’re on different levels but Tomlinson still fills a need, I wouldn’t want to miss out on him for a 2% chance of getting Whitfield. -
Adam Thymelinson, not sure what his nickname is.

?

I imagine we could squeeze him into the cap and he’s a definite upgrade on others who are getting games, worth a crack I reckon.
-
Sam Powell-Basil they call him over at Port Adelaide, just a little fact thrown in there. I believe we’ve enquired however that’s as far as we got. #ETbreakingitdownonetradeatatime

Don’t go giving Gil any ideas DC.

Yes as a DFA, absolute upgrade on players we’ve already delisted and Stretch, JKH and Wagner. Let’s remember that our bottom six getting a game are very ordinary, I base how we’re looking at these six. Not every player we bring in can be a star but they can be an upgrade on our lower end players.

Basically a done deal to Brissy is what I’m hearing, make no mistake I’m of the understanding it could happen. #ETtheoriginalwhisperer. Also just heard his nickname at the Crows is ‘Basil’, interesting times ahead.
-
Given he wasn’t available for selection until 2020 and Collingwood only re-drafted him last year knowing this, why would they delist him?

Either way, it’s abnormal behaviour for someone who doesn’t have anything to worry about. If anyone believes the story he and the Eagles are running with, give me a call I had some magic beans to sell. The article I read stated he was only tested for PED’s and returned a negative result. I don’t doubt at some stage he was tested for both though as reported in the HUN.
-
Of course the WA media are only reporting that he tested negative, they fail to mention they didn’t test for prohibited drugs (not that the test results have any bearing on what he did). Ahhhh the Eagles loving WA media..
-
I’m not 100% sure, I just know he was tested on a Tuesday and they only tested for PED’s and not prohibited drugs. Regardless, I’d still be [censored] myself if I had testers rock up to my door on a Tuesday and I’d taken something prohibited I shouldn’t have.
-
Not being a game-day test they were only testing for PED’s and not prohibited drugs. I think it’s pretty clear what has happened.
-
Jokes on them, it doesn’t work.

Jeremy Cameron? It’s Jeremy Cameron isn’t it.

Are you inferring that ETthetradebreaker©️™️ makes things up as he goes? (For real heard the plan was for him to move on elsewhere).

Burns’ name comes up whenever there’s a senior vacancy, the fact he’s from SA has probably added fuel to the fire. Even if he does take the Adelaide job, I still think Yze will leave. I’m lead to believe and I’m of the understanding that Yze leaving has been planned for quite some time.

Below quotes from Elliott’s interview with 3AW. Considering Collingwood are still in the running, sounds fair enough to me. “I’ve always said that I’m going to wait until the end of the year to negotiate anything,” Elliott told Sportsday. “I felt like I needed to get back and play some good footy, missing a whole year last year.” Asked if he was chasing a long-term deal (which he’s been linked with at other Melbourne-based clubs), Elliott said that would be “great”. “But I’ve got this week to focus on and potentially a week after that,” he said. “All my focus is on this week.”
