Yep, surely there can’t be 19 teams and a Tassie team will happen sooner than later. The Tasmanian Suns sort of doesn’t work. Luckily our name being ‘Melbourne’ should save us from heading their with them, North or St Kilda to merge with the Suns and head to Tassie? (So we’re not off track here, Ben King will go to Tassie as well...)

My preference is for them to fold, the talent pool is spread to thin. However, if they must remain, the players they already have need incentives to stay. It’s clear already that priority picks and 18 year old draftees won’t be the answer, they’ll just leave after their initial two year contract if they’re any good. The incentives don’t have to last forever, just until they can build a winning culture and players want to stay. So potentially 150 years or so.

Set to join Gold Coast after the GF for 5 years at 600k a season. Too good to knock back IMO, take the money and run Brandon.

Small forwards - what are our trading and draft options?

Welcome back Range Rover/Matsuo Basho/GetJonnoPatton -
Loves the easy goal out the back.

That’s about it unfortunately, just no good come game-day. One too many dear in a headlights moments, reminds me of Toumpas.

Chrysamthemum combined with Peppermint is delightful.

Chamomile tea isn’t banned, THC is. Simples. I drink a chamomile tea every evening, might try smoking it tonight.

I think @The Lobster Effect was talking about missing out on a flag, not missing out on playing grand final day. -

Is Tony Sheahan an actual journalist or just a Twitter troll? Serious question. -
Anyone else cringe when they see this thread bumped?

Sounds like a bit of a stretch.

Makes sense.

Not sure, since he was named publicly it was at least his second positive result.

4 years for tampering with a test. A fine and counselling for first positive test. 4 weeks off for second test and publicly named. 12 months suspension for third positive test. It doesn’t matter that it’s legal in parts of the world, marrying your sister and marrying a 10 year old is also legal in other parts of the world. Doesn’t make it right.

Apart from Gawn and Oliver our players aren’t ‘hungry’ enough to be in a Premiership window.

Fyfe is all about Fyfe. Dangerfield, whom finished second, was ranked 392nd for disposal efficiency this season and accumulated the second most amount of clangers 112. In the last four years he’s had 24 shots at goal from between 30-40 metres out and kicked two of them. Umpires just look at who’s getting the disposals and nothing else.

List changes who do we cut, trade or go after.

Maybe they’ll use the PP on him.. -
Yep named after two strikes, but I’m not sure if the policy differs between game-day and non game-day tests. As an aside, if they claim ‘mental health’ issues then they’re not named publicly after the second strike. Off the top of my head I believe Tuck is the only other player to be named publicly, please someone correct me if I’m wrong.

If Hawthorn and us are offering similar contracts to Elliott and they’re both substantially better than Collingwood’s offer, it’s a no-brainer which one he’d take, unfortunately. Just another downside to having such a poor season.

I bloody love their brownies.

Willie ‘rip a billie’ Rioli.

They’ll blame ASADA for putting him under stress after charging him with tampering with a sample, ‘he smoked a bong or two to de-stress’.
-
I understand this was a seperate test but it makes the Eagles defence of ‘he only tampered with the sample because he couldn’t urinate and was frustrated’ look very flimsy.
-
Given his age I find it quite the disgrace. Is he worth persevering with or do we trade him while he still has currency? A
