I’ve read this and that is what started the rumour of Cripps returning to WA. Someone on BF posted that they‘d heard a rumour about a player from a big Victorian club wanting to return to WA. Someone then posted that article and someone else then stated that the player must be Cripps due to that article. It’s where the rumour originated. The Fremantle board then caught wind of the rumour then they started joking about having Fyfe and Cripps and how they’re going to win next years Grand Final. Come on here a day later and Cripps is going to Fremantle and Oliver is going to Carlton to replace him.

The Cripps rumour is pure BF rubbish. Fremantle fans fantasying (and joking) about a Cripps and Fyfe duo and winning next years GF. Oliver isn’t going anywhere either. People clearly enjoy spreading rubbish rumours, carry on.

Agreed. It's where the Cripps rumour started as well. Someone suggested that a player from a 'Big' Victorian club is going to request a trade to WA. Another poster then posted an article about Cripps' partner and her mental health issues. The nuffies then all agreed that the evidence was overwhelming and settled on the player returning to WA was indeed Cripps.
