It's been well documented on our drafting during the 00s... Scott Pendelbury 2005 pick 5 coll A grader still playing... Mclean & sylvia 2003 pick 3&5 both traded/free agent & retired.. We then expecf Roos to fix our list from trading disasters of the last decade ... Reality!

So we wanna lynch Roos after 1/14 seasons! The guy is rebuilding the whole footy club from culture yo development & continues to turn over the train wreck of a lust he inherited! Look @ the Hawks, cats & swans .. Took them more than 1//4 seasons to build their teams to current status!

The reality is that a bottom team to attract any player will always pay over... This occurred with Dawes but very harsh comments on the guy.. I doubt. Most forwards would struggle with the lack of quality ball coming .. Yes he's not a great overhead mark & his goal ratio is not great ... Just can't keep on clearing the decks gotta retain the fabric of a team & build around him ...

Bottom line people we just don't have the cattle yet..... We have a mix of experienced top up players who are @ best b+ players with young talent who are just not ready yet yo match it..... When you look @ teams like Haw, swans , freo & cats... All their coaches went thru a phase of turning over & strengthening lists & building the right culture & developing players for success .. This took more than 2 seasons & we're not coming back from an absolute basket case! As frustrated we all are we cant expect Roos & co to fix immediately.. This list will change again in 2016 & I dare say Roos mat not be our next Finals coach rather a foundation builder! I hear people say Roos hearts not in ...FFS why would he stake his reputation??? I'm sure he could've earned a good coin in the media & other football areas...

Makes you wonder how the Doggies can have a crack & remain competitive & yet we capitulate.. Either Our list is so deplorable or our game plan is... Or our players don't care????

So you want to compare a 20yr playing his second yr to a late 20s who played for 7-8 seasons... Judge Toumpas on his merits ..

Very harsh on Jones... We accept he's not an absolute A grader but you can't question his commitment etc... All the senior places need to take responsibility of what happened today! We have acquired experienced players via free agency & like it or not they are just average to good players not A graders... Dawes, cross, Vince lamumbah need to lead as they have come from successful clubs!, Our midfield lacks A graders & young talent which will take another 3+ yrs to emerge as A graders! We need to somehow attract an A grader eg Dangefield ... Unfortunately Fred agency had resulted in big name players going to top clubs & resulting in let bottom clubs paying overs for players eg Dawes, clark....

This is heartbeaking for all members/supporters.... Not expecting a win but I thought we wr past these types of performances

We forget by this weekend we would have played the 3 teams who will either be premiers or played of in the GF! These teams have developed their lists for the last decade including culture etc.. We are club which is coming out of one of the worst eras as a club both on & of the field! Reality!!!!

It's Beyond luck for Watts... Regardless of what pick he was etc he needs to earn his spot & provide a contest.....Roos patience has ran out & he can't be carried anymore....his career is @ the crossroads & let's hope he spends sometime @ casey learning how to play the game @ afl level

Club needs to create a culture of long term players.. Though the current free agency has changed the rules.. I think if you commit to long term with kpp you develop a strong spine which you can build a great club ....

Offer him a 7yr contract

Is this a joke???? His slack ass work ethic is why Lyon forced him to retire .. Wtf would Roos want to bring back the poor work ethic which he's trying to change! He had almost 10yrs to show his professionalism & was found out @ a club which would not tolerate it!

Reality is the gap of the top 4 teams is evident...we just don't have the talent, fitness & size to compete against teams like, freo, swans, Hawks.... As hard as it sounds we are expecting our top ups & young unseasoned talent to compete against premiership & finals seasoned bodies... perspective

Spot on.. We also need not forget the equalisation policy for the swans from the afl.... Cannot bottom out, ensure gun KPP players end up @ the swans either via free agency or trade deals....

Basically a team of great kpp put together by the afl... How a premiership team can get Tippett & franklin is a joke but I guess that's equalisation to ensure the swans remain a powerhouse... We played crap.... We just don't have enough talent/size thru the midfield.... we need a Dangerfield type so get the cheque book... Having Watts as a sub was a waste needed to go to Casey .. As useful as an ashtray on a motorbike! Toumpas unfair to judge yet but needs a lot of work to make it @ afl level

Whilst the Mfc butchered & develop many of their early picks.. There are plenty of other examples in all clubs with failed early picks

1 It's not Collingwood fault that they are a succesful club... There was a post about their 70k membership, that's their good business mgt etc.. When Eddie took over their club was in big debt etc... The MFC was offered olympic club but Guitnick said we couldn't afford it! Our club has been going around in circles for the last 50yrs present mgt excluded! 2 The afl have created the uneaven comp thru a draw based on tv rights who demand bigger clubs to play on prime time which helps build their brand etc... The rest are shoved to play on crappy times.. You dont play each other twice..no home & away.. Show me a company around the world were you have this? 3 How can you have a draft/salary cap to create eveness then havd free agency were most of the gun players end up at premiership teams which keeps their list strong...

Getting your draft picks is one thing ...... It's how your can develop them & what culture a club has.... What occurred from 08-13 in our footy club would have stalled/ruined most players drafted to the MFC! As Roos says we need to stop thinking that young talent will be the saviours... They are there to be developed & become great players in yrs to come!

Correct.... Bit harsh on Tyson though... Second yr player will need more time to further develop.... Freo are great & it's Lyon 4 yr who inherited a decent list... Roos is turned over 18-20 players in 2yrs..perspective
