Honestly I think the biggest issue is that we are currently playing aggressive football, taking high risk options and coming back into the corridor. This is represented by the increase in UP. When it works we look great and exciting and we score easily. When it doesn't work we turn it over easily and look silly as everyone is out of position defensively. I'm not sure how to measure this statistically. Turnovers? Oppo scores from turnovers? As a percentage of total oppo scores?

He needs to kick every goal and take every chance to make up for his lack of defensive running for mine. Not saying he can't get there but at the moment i don't think he is doing enough.

I disagree. He is front running. Great when everyone else is moving it on and he gets to sit in front but not making the play himself, nor running both ways. When he has got it outside 50 he has taken too long to move it in - has done this 3-4 times and cost us scoring opportunities while players got back. Weed aside Kent is one of the first out when Hogan, Lewis and Hibberd are back.

The club let him go home so the music festival is not unexpected. If the festival is a bad look that's on the club not Hogan. Having a dart isn't great, but it's a pretty small issue. I was actually very impressed with the second video in the article, with the touched shot at goal. Not many players at AFL level would show that level of sportsmanship, and it should have been widely apprlauded.

Also I think Hogan out is not necessarily a bad thing. Last week we really struggled with our forward 50 entries. So the change in players should make us think more about how we are approaching this. A little less predictable may not be a bad thing, especially after coming off two wins.

When looking at the fixture and the ladder, today offers a real opportunity. I think that we'll have six teams 0-3 and four teams 3-0. A win is a real chance to embed ourselves in the 8. That being said, and it's possibly the MFCSS talking, but I still just can't actually bring myself to think we'll win. I have a hope or a dream but it doesn't feel like a reality or an expectation.
