And don't forget Ward, who walked out on them for money.
-
I reckon both Sydney and Adelaide will destroy a slow, boring defensive outfit like Geelong. And I bloody hope they do! Would love nothing more than to see this endless cherry-picking recruitment strategy from teams like Geelong and Hawthorn crash & burn.
-
I had a good chuckle to myself a few minutes ago thinking about Lewis' pathetic comments about how they didn't show up against us. Would love to walk up to him and ask why his team didn't show up against the Dogs tonight. Deadset arrogant [censored].
-
Watching the Dogs, they have so many classy outside players and run and carry but hit targets. I'd hope we're looking for similar players this trade period; we've got our fair supply of inside mids but we need more legspeed.
-
We showed a blueprint on how to beat them when many other teams couldn't.
-
In all seriousness, if we hadn't beat them, this final series would have ended up completely differently in terms of matchups.
-
Where's Bruce? He's gone quiet? Is he popping down to the Hawks changerooms?
-
Reminiscent of Port during their short-lived stint at the top a few years back.
-
I would be so [censored] off listening to this as a Bulldogs supporter -- nothing but crying over the end of the Hawks' reign. It reminds me of our upsets over the last few years, getting no credit and all the commentators basically saying it was an off day for the opposition. Makes my blood boil.
-
What is with the masochistic, depressing commentary? For Christ sake, revel in the Bulldogs! A young, up and coming team showing up the Hawks on the big stage! This is a huge game in the context of AFL history and the commentators sound like they're drowning in sorrow.
-
Oh, Bruce. Didn't even get a chance to say 'Poppy' one last time. Boo-hoo. You can hear the tears streaming down his face, it's like a river.
-
Who wins next week, Dogs or GWS? Please, please be the Dogs, couldn't stand to see their Grand Final aspirations snuffed by a [censored] AFL-concession franchise.
-
A sign of everything to come for Hawthorn -- it's been coming all year, now it's cemented. They will be screwed once the oldies drop off. Just wonderful, wonderful to behold. Hard to fathom that the Bulldogs or GWS will play in the Grand Final this year.

YOU ARE FINISHED HAWKS! ENJOY MAD MONDAY! STRAIGHT SETS!
-
That entry to the goalsquare then summed up the Hawks - - finished.
-
Don't worry -- the training threads begin in November.
-
They said on Fox it's basically a bunch of Hawthorn supporters surrounded by a mix of Doggies and neutrals who are all rooting for the Dogs. Love it!
-
Just so, so, so wonderful to see the slow Hawks being run down and tackled by the young dogs. A symbolic passing of the torch tonight, methinks. Dawks are finished.
-
BONTEMPELLI! Superstar!
-
FRAWLEY DELIBERATE! AHAHAHAHAHHAAHAH!
-
STRINGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Geez the Hawks are bloody sooks when the cheap free kicks go against them. Don't seem to mind when they get all the cheap free kicks every other week.
-
Bulldogs are so dangerous when they play on quickly, can't get sucked into the Hawthorn defence. Have to spread it out and open the corridor, then take the riskier option.
-
That was a beautiful, risky passage by the Dogs. Great to see it rewarded with a goal. None of this zoning, defensive, sleep-inducing Hawthorn rubbish! Not one word from Bruce for 30 seconds after Stringer kicks it.
