  1. If he's gone and told the club, I fully expect and hope Roos drops him. Removing him from the leadership group would be a step in the right direction as well, given his "leadership" qualities.
  2. Didn't this guy say JKH's contract extension was also signed off and awaiting imminent announcement... 3 months back?
  3. Still think Roos will be more interested in getting players that already have the 3 or 4 years of development under their wing, rather than draft and develop from the ground up. Let other clubs do the hard work then spend the money to bring in the fruits of their labor.
  4. Doubt Frawley will leave if he's only getting low-ball numbers from other clubs. He's leaving for a treasure chest. And with no other free agents left that clubs will bother pursuing, the hoards of salary cap space multiple clubs (including at least $1mil at Hawthorn) have saved up need to go to someone. The [censored] can go. He's clearly not man enough to tell the club he's out, this is just T$ 2.0. The moment Roos knows he's gone he'll be dropped from the squad anyway, so that'd compound the lie factor. Would be great timing if Hogan can make it in for the last 3-4 rounds.
  5. In how many of our 4 wins so far did Frawley play back? None. Hogan is the key forward we need down there, not the Frawley band aid approach.
  6. Unless we're getting more than one free agent, it's not worth diluting our compo for Chip leaving by getting any this year.
  7. Is Stretch sensational enough to be getting nominated by other clubs? Can't see anyone nominating him for their first round picks, maybe second round if they have a low pick.
  8. Watching Gazza couldn't shake the feeling he knows more than we do, with regards to Frawley's status. Sounds like he's out the door and Lyon is letting him know what he really thinks.
  9. JKH definitely being talked up to get him back in seniors. Think Casey is doing most of our players more harm than good, it's toxic down there.
  10. Wooden spoon is not out of the question for us, and frankly given how badly we need to clear this list out I'm not that worried about it. We're showing signs of improvement, and next year we'll be playing everyone in the bottom 6 twice, so it'll be our best chance to rise up the ranks damn fast in a long time. Picks 2 & 3 or 3 & 4 will net us some real gems.
  11. The AFL's greed to give every shred of talent to two new teams to buy them premierships ASAP was incredibly shortsighted. We now have about 6 teams in the same position, either starting a rebuild or a year into one, because all the talent was soaked up by expansion clubs over the last 5 years. It's going to be a long, painful road for us, Saints, Richmond, Brisbane, and probably Carlton and W. Bulldogs.
  12. The AFL should take a good hard look at themselves when they start complaining about the "ugly" footy they have half the league now forced to play. They took the cream of the nation's talent and divided it between two franchise teams for 5 painful years, and we're now seeing how detrimental that was to the league as a whole. Their greedy thirst for money and billion dollar broadcast rights will cost them in the long run, with so many teams now filled to the brim with diluted talent; packs of players who simply do not have the skill and class of players due to insanely shortsighted draft sanctions given to GWS and GCS. This will be a lengthy, painful mistake that'll take the better part of a decade to iron out in the league as a whole, and that'll be right around the time they start proposing a 19th and 20th team to [censored] it all up again. This mess is the AFL's making. We bottomed out at the worst possible time. Not only the introduction of two new teams, effectively taking every shred of talent in the country, but with the introduction of free agency strong teams will now remain strong as they cherry pick any sign of talent from lowly teams, who will be destined to remain cellar dwellars.
  13. Michie for M Jones. Georgiou for Terlich. JKH for Salem. McKenzie for Nicholson.
  14. Every single player out there contributed to that pathetic effort. Dawes needs to mark a [censored] ball just once. Tyson needs to stop being clever and just dispose of the ball. Dunn needs to learn when to just take the bloody ball over the line instead of gifting the goals to the opposition. Watts just needs to kick those goals when it matters. Matt Jones and Bail are just dumb, dumb, dumb players. Even Nate Jones had a stinker and Bernie's horrible kick in the end cost us that one goal difference. Every single player clunked that one and we lost it collectively. Not good enough, but if we'd won that it gives the team false hope. Didn't deserve it one iota.
  15. Why can't we ever [censored] win a game by 50 points. Why must I feel like I'm on the verge of a heart attack every week?
  16. Bail, please just [censored] off. Useless.
  17. Watch it fall apart. We do this constantly, get a sniff in the third quarter then fall apart.
  18. At least Roos is getting a reality check of where this team is really at, unlike teams like Richmond and Carlton who grossly overestimated the quality of their players. We're surely on track for a bottom 3 finish alongside the Saints and Richmond (will tank).
  19. I'm just baffled by the team selection. I know Roos wants to instill good habits in the seconds but we so desperately need a small crumber like JKH in there who can just get the bloody ball and run! We just aimlessly kick and handball to players under pressure then turn it over. It's [censored] embarrassing. Blease would be useful too, a player who just gets the ball and runs through traffic. We have not one person taking the game on!
  20. What the hell has happened to our defense in the last month? We were keeping teams to low scores not long ago, now they're just giving away goals like a sieve.
  21. Had so many squandered opportunities in the last 5 minutes, we desperately needed to take them. Can we get Crossy back in please?
  22. Turning off. This is a [censored] disgrace. These players do not give a [censored].
  23. Fkn atrocious. How many goals for the Dogs were from turnovers? How many opportunities, including set shots, did we squander? We'll struggle to beat another team this year if we can't even beat this rabble.
