Can always on-trade picks 3 and 4 to get some great senior players from other clubs though. About 4 teams are in the process of major rebuilds this draft period and will be desperate for high draft picks. Could net themselves some established senior players from Carlton, Richmond, Saints or even Brisbane.

If GWS were crazy enough to trade Cameron and Shiel for picks 3 and 4, it would be a massive steal for us.

I guess the question is what does it gain the MFC by admitting we're trying to poach their most valuable player? I would've thought it was rare for a senior coach to admit who their draft targets are due to rival clubs stealing their thunder. Maybe Free Agency works differently, seeing as Geelong have openly stated their interest in Frawley?

Um, sorry to dent your ego but I didn't quote or make any reference to your summary, only Django's. I also said I hadn't listened to the interview, so I was basing my comments entirely off his and thus could be wrong. I'll make a more informed opinion once I've heard the interview myself. I'm sure if Django has any problems with my interpretation of his summary, he will let me know himself. But thanks for your input.

The only difference is we likely have more salary cap space and better draft pick packages than any other team in the comp. That's likely what puts us in the box seat with his management.

His comment about players not putting in 100% might as well leave seems a pretty direct jab at Frawley, I think everyone's been saying the same thing on here. If he had any investment in the direction of this club he should sign. His reluctance shows he is far from 100% committed. Without listening to the interview, based on that summary I'd say it's a given that we've been in touch with Cameron. It's no coincidence that two months ago murmurs started about him being unhappy and wanting to leave. And even if we aren't successful, we'll be pushing his contract price up significantly which will help cause other players to spill out of the club due to salary cap constraints.

Anyone else notice this week's review is much more encouraging and focused on both positives and negatives of each player? Much better and gives a holistic view of each player's strengths and weaknesses. Might just be because they didn't completely stink for a change though.

I loved his shepherded clearance through the centre running side by side with Chunk, with his lovely handball and Chunk's kick inside 50. We need a hell of a lot more of that in this team. Players taking the game on is a nice change of pace.

Riley is the least of our problems right now. Whoever said above that he should be delisted doesn't have a clue.

The difference he was making on-field couldn't be much clearer now we've had to watch our team without him. He's probably one of our 3 most valuable players on-field, from both his leadership and hardness in matches.

There will be no future for this club in a few years. Kids nowadays just will not support a team that cannot get off the bottom of the ladder. Probably an entire generation of potential young demons fans has been lost after the last 8 years of rubbish.
