  1. The gap between T-Mac and Tyson was 1 minute. The gap between Tyson and Petracca was about 25 seconds. The gap between Petracca and Garland was 30 seconds. EDIT: Frost actually finished five seconds before Garland.
  2. And Scully is consistently at the top of GWS's time trials. Just sayin'.
  3. You can't sentence someone to penalties introduced after they committed their crime. It'll be two years maximum.
  4. N. Jones, Dawes, Watts and Hogan didn't run. The top 23 all finished within one minute of each other: 1. T-Mac (6 seconds ahead of Bail) 2. Bail (5 seconds ahead of Jordie) 3. Jordie (3 seconds ahead of Grimes) 4. Grimes (7 seconds ahead of JKH) 5. JKH (was stoked with himself, probable PB. Finished 2 seconds ahead of Cross) 6. Crossy (filthy at himself, or just exhausted) 7. Howey (finished right after Cross, along with the next 5 in quick succession) 8. White 9. Stretch 10. Viney 11. Lamumba 12. Newton (elated at finish line, probable PB) 13. Dunny 14. M. Jones 15. Toumpas 16. Salem 17. Vince 18. Brayshaw 19. Harmes 20. O-Mac 21. Pedo 22. Tyson 23. Jetta 20 seconds later were Kent, Michie, Fitzpatrick, Vandenburg and Petracca (absolutely exhausted). 25 seconds later Frost, then 5 seconds later Garland, then Garlett 5 seconds after that. Didn't recognize the player who came next (99% certain this was Kieran Collins, our AIS trainee), and King was last. *May have missed a few players in the mix but top 20 is accurate.
  5. Mate, lighten up for a change. The irony of your post is you're so quick to jump down my throat that you're too short-sighted to even realise that mine, filled with numerous incorrect facts (which you laughably went on to correct like that know-it-all kid in school that nobody likes), was a blatantly tongue in cheek reference to the endless wailing about missing Wines with Toumpas, or Darling with Cook, and so forth. I (incorrectly) assumed getting all their draft numbers wrong (including Priddis, a notable rookie draftee) was hint enough that I was highlighting the futility of draft choices; that inevitably you miss some good players no matter who you choose. The fact that you label it "ironic" that I didn't realise Parker was pick 40 (another well known fact) just highlights that some around here need to get off their high horse. Nah mate, what's ironic is you can't see far enough past your nose to notice a joke when you see one.
  6. If Hawthorn can continue to pick up a developing midfielder and key position player every year, they'll essentially never fall down the ladder. The age spread of their list has been flawlessly managed.
  7. Petracca on himself: “I’m able to play multiple positions and it might sound arrogant but I sort of do have a bit of X-Factor, I can kick those clutch goals.” Hah, come on mate... you're just an 18 year old prospect like everyone else. Let's leave it for others to say you have some X-Factor.
  8. 1 more year. GWS have about 5 or 6 of their best players all OOC next year, including Shiel, Cameron and Treloar. It'll be open season if they have another poor season (here's hoping they can't score goals without their precious forward line intact). GCS lost their coach after 4 years because they missed finals. The fallout will be worse for GWS.
  9. 16 chances for us to bang our head against a wall for the next 20 years lamenting that we missed out on the next Buddy Franklin at pick #25, the next Nat Fyfe at #29, the next Luke Parker at #33, the next Matt Priddis at #37, and so forth.
  10. Adam Goodes playing on with his huge salary wouldn't be helping their cause. We'll just have to try shaking a few more players loose next year.
  11. St Kilda have shown some interest in Brayshaw apparently, undecided on their choice for pick 1. Would be unwise for us to make it clear we think Brayshaw is the better prospect of the two, if that's the case.
  12. Any three of Petracca, Brayshaw and Lever for mine. Talls are a gamble and take too long, as Roos has noted.
  13. GWS murdered us this year. They'll annihilate us twice next year. They have improved their list handsomely with Griffen, and they have no shortage of talent waiting to explode with more development under their belts.
  14. My only concern with Wright and McCartin is that they might only be rated so highly due to being the only tall forwards in this draft. Do either play with the hardness and aggression of Hogan?
  15. ...but Roos is here for another 2 years to turn them into Kennedys and Dangerfields and Hodges...
  16. On the bright side, we have 350 days to think of new fish puns.
  17. Legitimate question: what if the Saints do pass on Petracca? I'd hate to see him end up at GWS with pick 4.
  18. So he's Jack Frost's brother hm? Perhaps he can investigate where Dangerfield's contract went?
  19. All I'll say is... next year better be Watts' breakout season. I think we've waited patiently enough.
  20. He is only 21... bit harsh to start judging him when he's played against ten year players. I hope we aren't equally as harsh on Hogan when he gets beaten off by every other team's best defender.
  21. Hope picks 4, 6 and 7 enjoy playing in the NEAFL for the next 3 years.
  22. Well, at least Taylor and his scouts haven't wasted the whole year now we have later picks. Another JKH surprise packet would be heaven.
  23. Delisting Trenners would be pretty gutwrenching. I reckon Geelong looked pretty awful delisting Burbury after that shocking jaw incident.
