I have to say, on this form, (deep breath) it would be an abomination if we lost to North Melbourne in a few weeks. They are miles off the pace. 18 geriatrics in wheelchairs would provide a better display of skills.
-
LOL Brown's having BOTH arms held by two Bombers defenders while going for the ball and the umpires don't call a free kick. Pathetic, laughable, unbelievable frankly.
-
Well that freakish goal would burn if you were an Essendon fan.
-
Daniher now officially on the protected species list at Umpire HQ. Disgusting, pathetic, soft, [censored] [censored] free kick. All of one pinky finger on his back and he gets a free kick right in front of goal. Meanwhile, forwards run at the ball and get held, pushed, shoved and bent over right in front of goal and the umpires do nothing. They are murdering this game, not the coaches.

I'm sure Jimmy sent Robbo a completely objective, unbiased summary of WADA's charges. "It's all made up! They're out to get me! It's propaganda! Gil is being a meanie!"
-
I'm sure Robbo's furiously scouring Jimmy's copy of the brief to find the slightest contradiction.
-
Heed Gil's words of wisdom in his press conference today. "We need Essendon back being strong and winning games." Says it all, really.
-
Wonder if the players have something on their mind? Perhaps the new evidence brief supplied by WADA to the AFL last night?
-
Yep, that Daniher pulled off that display last week in the conditions we endured.. well, it's the kind of thing that only ever happens to us.
-
There's certainly a few adjectives I could use to describe our performance last week, and superb doesn't fit into the equation. North aren't even trying tonight and look clear winners. Aghhhhhhh!
-
So, of course, Daniher's back to his usual rubbish accuracy tonight by kicking the post from a metre out. How did Joe Daniher miss this goal?

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 16
SaberFang replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Given the state of our list I'm not surprised we're just getting games into our youth now. The writing is well and truly on the wall for whoever isn't getting a game. The sooner supporters realise Roos has actually come in to perform a stealth rebuild (and do it properly), the quicker people will realise we're playing the long-term game here. We won't have a list worthy of contending until Goodwin's first year as coach. -
Please don't get injured, please don't get injured...

Delistings/trades at end of the season
SaberFang replied to Northern Summer's topic in Melbourne Demons
Like his parents, Prestia was a member of Melbourne Football Club as a youngster and supported the Dees until draft day in 2010. His dad Osi has been involved with Melbourne coterie groups and still supplies fruit for the red and blues to this day. The lures to go home were strong. "There was always the temptation of going home to Melbourne," Prestia told the AFL Record this week. "But I thought, 'I've already started here, I've already gone through hard times at the club, where we got smashed every week, and now we were coming into the phase of winning games' … I just thought there was no point leaving." http://www.afl.com.au/news/2014-05-25/prestia-home-in-the-sun Those quotes have new meaning given the drugs revelations; he went through the hard times when the club started and I would imagine he's less than pleased to be in the same position after only 5 years. -

His family has ties to the MFC, so it makes sense. Not unlike Aish with his ties in SA. -
I hear good things about Thymosin Beta-4.
-
But it's the AFL suppressing the truth, not Hird! Didn't you see Albert's presser? Let's not forget, Hird has been very forthcoming with "his side of the story" since that tribunal finding, as he'd promised to tell all throughout the investigation. Well... except for the part where he said, "we're all going to drop this now and never speak of it again."
-
I sure hope it ain't his thumb or he'll have some questionable handballing.
-
Yikes! That match really took its toll on Frosty! Do you think Collingwood will notice if we kidnap his brother and swap him with Sam?
-
That Misson is bloody hopeless, I tells ya! Shouldn't he be working on a cutting edge supplements program to help our boys recovery faster?!
-
186 was the wheels falling off. Neeld was the car crusher. Roos signed on in 2013 and Jackson presented him with his team:
-
And Robbo reveals a third incident with Mitchell and another player, this time Ryan Griffen (who gave him plenty of lip after it happened). Dirty little [censored]. He's rapidly running out of the credits he earned for jab-jab-gate vs. Essendon.
-
We're certainly not shy about asking for handouts!
-
What sane human decides riding in today's conditions (for 65km, no less) is a good idea anyway? The mind boggles. It seems he is spending the night in hospital under observation. Let's hope he makes a full recovery; we need to hear his side of the story, after all.
-
Hopefully Neeld can take up the reigns Friday night on his behalf.
