Delistings/trades at end of the season
SaberFang replied to Northern Summer's topic in Melbourne Demons
We can look at free agents all day long, but they ain't gonna come to our club unless they're DFA. -
Player 1: "Did you dope as well?" Player 2: "Yep. But nobody can prove it!"

Are we seeing Geelongs culture crumbling?
SaberFang replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
Things have been posted in the past that are slanderous and are promptly removed by Demonland admin to avoid legal problems. Fair enough, too. -
Yet they keep being gifted games by Roos... I've been a strong supporter of PR but his deficiencies as match day coach are glaring.
-
That's like saying, "if we were 14 wins and 0 losses, you'd all be calling Roosy a genius!"

2015 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
SaberFang replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Every chance and every likelihood. Gold Coast will keep winning with Ablett back, Carlton are reinvigorated under Barker and Brisbane are finally reducing their injury list. -
Are we seeing Geelongs culture crumbling?

So they're just trying to avoid the pitchforks from supporters for picking up damaged goods? -
Remember 4 weeks ago when that Saints loss was the latest line in the sand, after we beat Geelong? Yeah, either.
-
Don't worry, MRP's on the case. Two week suspension to Sam Wright for "reckless contact with Joel Selwood's hands."

Are we seeing Geelongs culture crumbling?

It's interesting the way he vanished from Geelong. Almost nary a mention in injury reports. In fact, it's almost like he's not allowed to play and it isn't injury related. -
-
God help us if this boy leaves our club, because nothing will save the MFC if that happens.
-
It all contributes to a [censored] poor culture which our club clearly has. Roos comes out and bangs on about "earning" games, then two years running keeps players in the squad who aren't even committed to the club.
-
Only Melbourne supporters could be broken enough to want their own players suspended just to see them out of the team. In a team full of peahearts, keeping the biggest peaheart of all just to maintain currency seems a wildly shortsighted decision in the midst of a "cultural overhaul."
-
It makes a mockery of Roos claiming you need to earn games. I'd love to know what the players in the twos think about it, and the Frawley situation last year.
-
Jesus, the Essendon supporters who've overtaken the game day thread on BF are insufferable. I literally could not despise a more ignorant, pathetic, braindead bunch of morons any more than Drug Cheat supporters.
-
It's just puzzling to me that a team can be so wildly different from week to week. We looked amazing against Geelong but look so pedestrian today. The conditions are surely partly to blame for the poor accuracy on goal? To think the weather of all things may have dictated the game.

Haven't checked this thread in a few weeks and all I can say is... what the actual [censored] happened to this thread? -
There are actually people who want Hogan dropped to the twos? Like, seriously? You'd be cracking the shits as well with constant, moronic bombs into your forward line.
-
The fact that any of our players could be complacent, and seem to trot this line out every time we have a poor loss, indicates a toxic undercurrent is well and truly alive at the MFC. You don't see the Saints being complacent. Or the Dogs. Bad teams are complacent and it's double unforgivable for our mob.
-
Howe will, hopefully, be suspended. He won't be dropped by this coaching group so long as Roos is keeping his currency up. He's playing the long-term gain to get a better return, but it's insulting and damaging to culture almost beyond repair.
-
It must be nice to support a team that subverts all pre-season expectations on the field in a positive way. Rather than leading supporters into a false sense of security then crushing all their hopes and dreams to a pulp... yet again.
-
Has Fitzy played since tunnel ball?
-
Just mean that more senior heads may have helped. Jamar almost should've been rewarded for good form. If he does well tomorrow I would hope he's back in the ones next week.
-
Far worse than the 100 point losses, I reckon.
