  1. Spot on with all points. We have always had "depth". Its not always been that good.
  2. With a list that bristles with game hardened talent, outstanding senior leadership and game breaking experience. Can you work out what happening now? Worsfold could not. White should be concerned he contributed significantly to earlier losses. White should feel well suited to Twitter.
  3. The no name Casey side flogged a Coburg team bursting with Richmond stars the other week. It was impressive.
  4. And the opposition club is rapt because they give up an opportunity with a young player (their draft pick) and they get a proven NQR AFL player with skill/attitude/performance issues that prevents them from getting a regular game at one of the worst teams in the past decade. They will be ecstatic. ATM. Very few MFC players that the Club would willingly release would have trade value. Chris Johnson should be a barometer of trade value for NQRs. He had none and some of these names list will be finished in AFL within 12 months. MFC would be laughed at in draft week coming to the table with a basket of crud. If any of those players have a future in the AFL.....its as a speculative PSD pick at best. Why do people put up such lopsided MFC favouring deals that absolutely screw the opposition club? Its sometimes the players who are thick and not the Club....well not that thick.
  5. The more I think about it, I cant see us having a win against NM or Carlton. Richmond were absolutely pathetic on Sunday and I struggle to believe that either NM and Carlton which have something to play for would be as bad as the Tigers. Yes there is a risk but if we can orchestra an outcome like the Tigers match then we should be able to handle these two games.
  6. You could not be more wrong about the Roos. They are definitely not tanking. They are trying to win each and every game. The players could not finish the Blues with 16 inside 50s. Take a Bex and lie down.
  7. Technically it was a shank. He meant to centre the ball
  8. Agree. Whether the AFL wants to believe or not, there is a credibility smear amongst the AFL consuming public. The problem is if they do away with the PP which obviously assists the poorly performed clubs they are doing so to stop sides t**king which they say does not exist!
  9. You should. WCE have won 9 games out of 40 with 16 p'ship players on there list and you think they have a winning culture. Brilliant. Seen better cultures in year old milk.
  10. You are wrong and both players are good honest "dime a dozen" players which are and most likely expendable at year end. Their positions in the team for the rest of the year are a function of injury list and list management objectives rather than performance based.
  11. Their current form is not indicative of ladder position. And Sydney and St Kilda might have challenged that theory Carlton is definitely a lesser risk than North.
  12. For the past few weeks.... Carlton had wanted to play finals and have wanted a top 4 spot but...... Crocker has been pushing for a win and his side cant deliver ...... Stay tuned...
  13. Look its obvious what MFC were doing but its no greater and I think less than Carlton. Carlton were doing all of what MFC had done plus benching their best players at the time for long periods at critical times of the game where Carlton seemed to "disappear" from good winning positions. If Vlad did not want to investigate tanking then, he wont want to do it now. The look in the MFC box after Petterd kicked that goal was deathly indeed.
  14. I doubt Bailey was trying to win the game. If MFC had won there would have been a nashing of teeth because of the complications that it causes. The issue I was putting forward the whole tanking debate is such an unproveable "crime" particularly in regard to MFC that its becoming one of the great "storms in a a teacup". For the record, Carlton were far more obvious in 2007 and the AFL (Vlad) does not want to know about. I cant wait until this season is over. This 2nd half of the season is showcasing all the things I dont enjoy about AFL.
  15. Either way, Valenti wont make it. And Cheney is in doubt too.
  16. There is too much focus on Freo and not enough on the real risks we are still to encounter People would be wrong to overlook the danger of the North and Carlton games. Both games are very winnable by MFC and as much as I hate to say it, its going to take some shrewd thinking to deliver the outcomes we want.
  17. The whole argument of the anti tanking critics rests on the outcome of the game. If McMahon had missed the shot, MFC would have won a game after being nearly 2 goals down coming into time on. There could be no sustainable argument formed. McMahon kicks a goal after the siren after he misses two easy shots earlier in the game to claw back the game and bizarrely MFC are so "bloody obvious about" tanking!! Its beggars belief. Given you're on to something here, how does a Club "professionally" tank?
  18. I think that comment is pre mature until the season is finished. An extra four points in this game could decide the PP access at year end. I agree about the younger players. However the game was a terrible standard of football where it was hard to eke out any real enjoyment.
  19. ....Its just like Newton has no flaws... and forward defensive pressure is overrated. Freak must have been typing it one handed.
  20. He's been impotent for the past three years. And does some of his best work flat on his back. I would have thought Liam Jurrah puts more fear in opposition backman than a "Me first" forward with little or no defensive efforts.
  21. Good stat Einstein. What it tell me is that you not only need to have quality in your list (particularly stars) but you need to have your best fit and on the paddock as much as possible. So many things need to go right to win a flag. Some of those things a Club can influence, some it just cannot control (eg collision injuries like ACL, Collarbone etc).
  22. If many of the senior players retire or are delisted this year then on average age, years of experience and games played the 2010 list will probably be younger, less experienced and few games played than the 2009 list......but better......hopefully..in the long run. There will still be some pain in 2010 as the younger players learn the game.
  23. I thought MFC were breaching the salary cap in years prior to 1998 as well as 1998.
