Our list is still 1-2drafts away from a top list. Roos main aim was percentage improvement this year with wins being a bonus. Despite the disappointment and frustration at a loss I think we are on target and those with poor work rate and skills will be moved on.
Blease must finally get a go. Terlich seems injured but should be dropped anyway. Kent and Salem have done nothing for 2 weeks. As for Nicho, how he got a game this week I'll never know.
JKH will definitely come in and Tapscott and Georgiou should be considered. Barry and Gawn to keep their spots.
Main positive is the come back - in previous years would have lost by 100 after such a poor start. Need to get some players with decent skills onto our list.
Nicho - Shouldn't have played
Watts frustratingly lazy disposal
Terlich - outlived his usefulness
Kent - poor for 2weeks
Jetta - loved his effort
Barry - deserves next week
Grimes - best game yet
Viney - shut down Libba
Salem - needs Casey time
Bail - doesn't offer enough
M Jones - same as Bail
Umpires - should be ashamed
You can't play a half and expect to win. Too many passengers - Salem, Kent, Nicho, Terlich. Thought Dom Barry showed a bit and should be given another go. Maxxy and Jamar worked well in tandem. Grimes played his best game in years and I think Frawley is better down back despite his odd brain fade.
Agree. Looks like KC was spot on as usual. The lack for a forward presence is the problem. The stats for the mids seem OK but had no one to kick it to. Points to a draft priority -who knows how Fitz and Spencil will be in the future. Unreliable at best I would have thought.
With the way football has evolved the tanking fine seems more and more ridiculous and shows how lacking in spine the administration at the time was for putting up with it. Couldn't imagine Bruce Little from Essendon accepting it - or Peter Jackson for that matter.
Interesting insight and sounds like he was badly mismanaged. I also heard at the time his attitude to training was really poor and effort was lacking. No doubt he had talent and I was excited by his first season. Real shame the way it turned out but I would guess there are faults both ways.
