I think Cross down back has been a fantastic move and may have prolonged his career for another season. His intercept marking has been a revelation.

I think Jade Rawlings importance is underrated- he has got the backline performing well as a unit and all the players speak very highly of him. A quiet achiever.

The heartening thing about the transformation of Casey is now there is genuine competition for spots in the firsts. All the rucks are on the park and going well. The mids must be feeling the pressure from Michie, Newton and Riley. Grimes is on the cusp as is Fitz. JKH would be hearing Hunts footsteps. Our depth is greatly improved and all credit to Plopp and McCartney.

We are really going to struggle against the Saints midfield next week. Also their tall forwards will be a headache. I can see Bruce having a day out.
