  1. Garland won't be dropped nor should he be. I would much prefer to drop Dawes and bring in Fitz whose versatility to play ruck, back or forward would be handy.
  2. Well they didn't and that was a large part of the problem.
  3. Hate people getting stuck into first years players. He was not the problem today.
  4. There is no sugar coating, explaining or excusing this loss. It should never have happened and has exposed the soft underbelly that exists within this club. There should be plenty of sore arses tomorrow from firmly applied boots.
  5. Yeah, save that for the opposition and politicians.
  6. Agree - also his arms weren't pinned
  7. It came down to lack of intensity especially in the third quarter. If they played like they did in the last quarter the result would have been different. God knows why, but they were complacent.
  8. Essendon had a less experienced side than ours. Can't use that as an excuse.
  9. Generally I think the selectors have dropped the ball this year. They don't think about match ups properly. Many here said the height of Daniher would be a problem and felt Fitz would be a good selection. And so it was, the difference between the 2 sides. As for the kicking what can you say? It has been a problem for years now and hasn't changed. I'm not sure that Roos has any answers or the fire in the belly needed. Maybe that is the post match depression talking. Can't even take any solace in watching the ashes.
  10. I think Roos was out coached again. Would love to see Goodwin take over in the box on game day. It takes a bad performance to be out coached by Tird.
  11. Jordie McKenzie must have taken over as kicking coach. However you frame it, this was a disaster. To be beaten by an Essendon reserves side shows a lack of effort and application. They only started to apply themselves in the last quarter. I hope we don't hear the same old platitudes from the Club this week. This crap happens far too often.
  12. Yet again the selectors have lost this for us. It was obvious Daniher is too tall and Fitz should have been playing. Disgusting pathetic effort by our forwards
  13. Gawn - 18 hit outs. Dominating. Reckon we will wear this mob down.
  14. Trouble is Jimmy is going about as well as the Greek economy. Next contract may be in drachmas.
  15. More likely Vince - he tends to take on the bigger types.
  16. Forever to be known as GBH.
  17. James Harmes
  18. I think that horrible turnover that resulted in a goal at a crucial time cost him. He's just got to get that out of his game.
  19. I think Roos rates Garland, as do I, so I would surprised to see him go.
  20. He kneed him on the temporal bone, the most fragile and vulnerable part of the skull. It doesn't take much to cause a fracture and bleeding internally. It's the area that cricketers helmets are designed to most protect. That sort of action on the football field is totally unacceptable regardless of the consequences
  21. Gutless, mongrel act
  22. Bruce Mc Aveney gives you the [censored], doesn't he?
  23. He's certainly an engaging personality and seems much more relaxed. Interestingly Tom McDonald when On the Couch said Watts was one of the team that lifted the morale when things got bleak. I really think he has turned the corner.
  24. We seem to have a mystery injury each week so nothing would surprise me.
