As far as 2019 goes, can't really argue with him. The interesting point, given how poorly our forward line worked in 2019, where does our Forward line coach rate in the league?

He certainly looks in ripping nick. Good to see, giving himself every chance. I reckon Spargo's added a lot of muscle as well. -

Misso was a genius. How many people could've sold the 'nobodies had an interrupted preseason' line? -

Interesting numbers. Do they suggest he played the first 2 of his 4 games this year through the midfield, and the last 2 in the forward line? There's a massive drop off in the numbers there, perhaps he wasn't in the right shape to be playing those last 2? -
Never liked him, he's no good anyway. There's just not enough 'Basil' about him.

If we land him I'll change to that name, with your permission of course. -

I think you've spelled his name wrong. I believe the correct spelling is: B-A-S-I-L -

Wherever he ends up, considering his history, is there any option for the club to make a request to the AFL to allow him to train with the club throughout the whole preseason, i.e. prior to the December 3 stipulated date? -

Throw OMac into your 22 and you'll see just how fast PF can move. Like [censored] lightning. -
It's good news, but I'm really hoping we're not going into the 2020 season without a very good Forward line coach. At this stage we don't have one at all.

Dees Plan to Turbocharge the Midfield
FireInTheBennelly replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Personally I think recruiting inside mids constantly to the point where we have no run - and then recruiting a few runners and declaring them the saviors, is a bit like walking away from your Kurd mates in Syria to let Turkey run through them, only to then turn around and negotiate a pretend cease fire, and claim at as a win. But I think both are super recruits and exactly what we need. Of course. -
Amazing considering how busted his shoulders are. Or at least were, while he was at the Gold Coast. Come to think of it, amazing recovery, doesn't even need shoulder strapping anymore.

Agreed, and that would take him to the next level. A genuine star and Brownlow contender. -
2019 Player Reviews: #21 Braydon Preuss
FireInTheBennelly replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think he'll come good as a forward ruck. He can mark the ball, he took 9 marks in a 2017 game against GWS, 4 contested. He was down on confidence this year, and perhaps too heavy. If he trims down he'll be dangerous. There were 2 very simple marks (amongst others) he spilled this year that probably led to the lack of confidence and being dropped from the team. Big preseason and Preussy's set up for a big 2020. -
