But clubs need both types of players don't they? I realise it's not as simple as that, even 'outside' players need to go when it's their turn. But are we criticising an outside type player, in a team all but void of them, for not taking on someone else's role, or cleaning up after someone that failed?

Excellent. I hope clubs put some serious work into DeGoey now. They'll be desperate to keep him as well, and between the two of them it will cause some significant salary cap pain.
