Tend to agree with freak on this. He is only 21 and IF we were able to get him for a good price we would be stupid not to. His kicking skills are good unlike some others talked about here (buckley, bruce) and he could really improve our backline introducing some productive creativity. I would really like our medico's to put him through a pretty tough test before we seriously look at him considering the severity of his previous injury.

HF: Bate, Miller, Sylvia F: Davey, Robbo, Wona i really think davey is wasted in the midfield and backline, keep him forward at the big boys feet where he is most dangerous kicking goals. ideally we would have 2 of sylvia, bate and miller leading from CHF keeping us straight with the other making the other 'tall' with robbo on the FF line. Wona to continue what he is doing.

might be a thing with a few boys down there cause nathan jones has 'jones' across his back too

very rarely do players poll that many votes in a whole season let alone half a season... If anyone gets 28 votes for the year they will win it pretty easily i think 25 will still win probably

birthday is 22nd of Feb 84 making him 24 so he is out of the 23 and under target but for someone of his skill, assuming we finish on the bottom with less than four wins, i think our first pick at the start of the second round is tradeable (18 is it??), maybe throw in someone else as a swap, not that they have anything we specifically want/need

he is over 23 as you said which indicates to me that it will have to be an extremely good price. i think there will be others who will offer more than us if he is out of contract he might go to the pre season draft but i dont think he wants to leave st kilda that badly and even if he did the saints wont let him walk for free.

TBG, i have seen this before i really like this format and would love to see it implemented. however, i dont think it ever will unfortunately. it is a lot fairer and the top 6 with the next 2 best records is a good idea. you can be sure though that someone at AFL HQ wont like this for the simple reason that it is different (if it aint broke dont fix it, the draw is one of the unpredictable things we love yadda yadda yadda...) it will take someone with balls to implement this and Demitriou knows he is on a winner with his job and wont do anything to risk his position, that and he has some abnormal fixation with west sydney and the GC.

yeah, he really struggled yesterday. He is just an average player at the moment and i cant see him showing any signs of improvement. I would bring in Valenti if we can, he is like Bode but will imporve with every game he plays. At the moment i think Buckley needs some time in Sandy to improve his finishing skills, everyone knows he is fast and can find the ball which are two incredibly important skills to have, but consistently watching him turn it over is infuriating!!

as always stats can be decieving, sure he gets 'contested possesions' but if you watch (almost) any game again (i would but its uni assignment time) you will see him flinch, dodge or get a quick handball to a team mate under more pressure* when it is his turn to take a hit then get the hands or force a ball up so we can get more numbers to the contest... * i bet these possesions would count as contested and bump up his actual stats...

HA! contested ball, are you serious?? Buckley continued to butcher the ball yesterday which was soooo frustrating, along with bruce but i guess the only way to learn is to keep playing him i think CTD summed it up, although i hope holland isnt injured and makes sylvia earn his spot

yeah i was really hoping to cheer him on for one more game too. He is a true legend of this club and has held us together for the last 10 years. Thanks for everything Neita, you will be sorely missed

How many people have been named all australian at CHB and FF as well as a Coleman and the clubs first 300 game player, most games captained and leading goal kicker There are others as deserving as him but not too many who deserve it more then him
