  1. My mate spoke to Bail last night. He got the impression there's been little improvement in his niggling quad injury, so I doubt he'll be fit next week.

  3. To anyone who hasn't made it to a B&F, do yourself a favour and get along this year. I think it was 3 years ago when Cam, not long after he was appointed, spoke almost 'off the cuff' at the B&F (held at Docklands). Jimmy had just taken the reins and we were struggling. Cam's speech was inspirational. Like Jimmy and CC, his bleeds Red and Blue.
  4. Care to research our record at Docklands over that period?
  5. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/demons-widen-focus/story-e6frf9jf-1225857683794 The last two sentences sum it up: "We're playing an exceptional football club and we need to make some inroads on Saturday night. "If we don't, then what we've done the last two weeks will disappear pretty quick."
  6. Agree with Rojik. It's God's way of telling you that real men don't iron!
  7. Myself and four mates heading up. I'm expecting a stark contrast to the freezin' conditions we experienced last year at Manuka (for our interstate Home game).
  8. I certainly concur with the last sentence: 'It would be ridiculous to suggest the Demons are finals-bound on the back of wins against Adelaide and Richmond, but it is the way they are going about it that gives supporters hope'
  9. I like him and I reckon he's pretty efficient in his disposal. He was, however, well beaten by Burton including having 2 goals kicked on him in short succession. He needs the 'right' opponent. Trav may be the 'right' opponent this Saturday.
  10. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/melbourne-riding-high-on-back-to-back-wins-but-true-test-awaits/story-e6frf9jf-1225855253878 I did find myself thinking yesterday how nice it would be to have a 'Neita' in the square. Green is too valuable to have at FF and Bate impresses at times but I don't think he's the answer. I'd give Juice another crack. At least he can do the ruckwork down forward. On another tack, Dunn in the ruck certainly not something I want to see.

  14. Whilst I did not read the posts that have lead to this Geelong-based coach considering legal action, I have some idea what the gist of them would be as the club I'm involved with play in the same league. From personal experience, forum moderators need to be on their toes 24/7, so D'landers shouldn't be upset if posts they consider innocuous are pulled. http://www.geelongad...53031_news.html
  15. At 15 min mark of the last BM's stats are 4 handballs.
  16. From the 'AFL Boys of Summer' in today's little paper: December flyer Colin Sylvia. "He is setting the standard with his training performances and attention to detail." - fitness manager Joel Hocking.
  17. Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere, but I couldn't see it. I don't think Mark Robinson is noted for any passion towards the Dees. I like the last line: 'The MFC was off and running' http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/tom-...f-1225804408141
  18. Emma Quayle said on SEN this morning that she thought Ball would get all the way through to the Pies. Part of her reasoning was that a number of clubs are trying to 'scare' other clubs into taking Ball with their earliest pick in order to free up another youngster. Personally, I reckon with Junior, Jones, Flash and Col we have enough senior or mature mid-field players to mentor any recruits.

  20. KC - whilst on the subject of Casey FC, I was interested to read about the club's Sandown Classic Day. Myself and a couple of Demon mates used to attend the Noble Park FC day at the Classic and had a great time. We were sad that it fell over. I was wondering if there was an opening next year for a table or two of Demonlanders to attend, and if so you might remember to spread the word? I understand if it's strictly a 'closed' function.
  21. I've had a few heated arguments with my mate who reckons we wasted our pick. I'm convinced, more so since reading this article, that Jack will be alright.
