  1. If I recall correctly, last year when there was debate about Ablett coming or going, his manager ( Liam Pickering) repeatedly said that he had not made up his mind. That was about this time last year. I reckon that was true. I think his falling out with Bomber Thompson was the catalyst for his move. Tom has come out and said he has not spoken with anyone, nor signed anything. I believe that. Why don't his management come out and reaffirm this? Why can't Tom insist that they do?
  2. I like this one about McGuire and the abuse by the Saints supporter.
  3. On the same site: Dees demand jack Viney curb aggression to fit into game plan Some quality stuff
  4. Would have to get two weeks, possibly reduced to one if he takes an early plea. The fact the Jones lip needed attention won't help his cause. You'd think after the Campbell Brown incident, and the furore that it happened behind play, they'd have to take a dim view of assaults 'off the ball' (which Thomas' was).
  5. "We have not beaten North or anyone at ES since Adam played full back for Jerusalem." Old Dee, Moses played Full Back. Adam was 4-6 with a rib injury.
  6. It was mentioned during the replay that he had commenced running or was due to start running this week. It would certainly add some intrigue to the QB game if that was his return match.
  7. 'Bailey will survive or not depending on his performance over the coming months but he is under pressure naturally and if he goes the club will certainly look at Malthouse.' Talk about stating the bleeding obvious. Furthermore, I don't think the Saints or Tigers are showing any more than us. A similar article could well have been written about them (looking at slightly different aspects of their FD). At least two wins from our next three games needed to clam the troops.
  8. Malthouse commentating on SEN said he couldn't understand why Bailey didn't try a double tag - Aaron tagging Black for instance. He also said Davey didn't appear to be enjoying his footy. I think that was bleedingly obvious to all, and it's a shame.
  9. The headline is wrong for a start Demons star Brent Moloney caught urinating on bar in St Kilda - report I'd hardly consider Moloney a star. I guess relative to the rest of the playing group he may be. I reckon if he had played shouse yesterday the D'lers would have a different take on this. He must be dropped from the leadership group and either fined or given a week off. Urinating on a shop window is bad enough; against a bar is nothing less than disgusting. Mind you, at 59 years of age maybe I just don't get it.

  11. I'm predicting a 3-4 goal loss. Grimes is the only reliable kick in the back six. Also, against both Essendon and Brisbane we got smashed in centre clearances and at the stoppages. Without Scully, there's no-one that I can see who can turn that around. Possibly Trengove if he's fully fit (I doubt he is). Jones and Beamer are not the answer across the centre - Jones continually gets caught, and Beamer with his Daniel Ward-like long bombs. I predict that Jetta will be named the sub and by the last quarter will be playing in the guts, both for his pace and tackling ability (which was evident against Brisbane).
  12. The sub must be one of the four listed on the I/C and must be named no later than 90 minutes prior to match time. Tapscott won't be the sub
  13. Clubs are not required to name the sub until 90 min. prior to the game.
  14. I can't see Bail playing on Goodes. There's an 11cm difference in height and 17kg in weight. That's a total mis-match. Garland would be my choice.
  15. The average height of your spine would be about 186cm (about 6' in the old money). Probably the shortest in the last 20 years of AFL footy.
  16. To see (and hear) Cam at his best you need to get to the B&F's.

    Ricky Nixon

'Spida' Everitt may be selling Ricky's talents short. Nixon may well have found time between his other nefarious activities to make the girl porridge and iron her school uniform. I can't see any need for the latter though. I suspect she's been wagging school for some time.
  18. The main feature I like is his high efficiency - he rarely wastes a possession and, for the most part, always has time to assess his options. I just wish Beamer would follow suit.
  19. I too thought it was a great doco. I liked the loyalty of Tasmania's Daniel Jago, and the honest self-analysis of Sydney's Daen Lomas, the two boys who missed making it through to the AFL.
  20. Great choice. Onya Greeny. It probably means that Aaron will miss out down the track, with Grimes the Captain in Waiting.

  22. My guess is that it's a year 9 media student's assignment, or produced by a kid on work experience.
