Jack's Supercoach scores have been 97, 44 and 67. The fact that the Power have a very easy draw over the coming weeks may be the only thing saving him from being dropped.
-
I'm not sure if it's been mentioned, but Ben Brown scored 5 Brownlow votes from a possible 6 in his two outings against us last year (9 goals in total). IMO it's imperative we play Frost as a back-up for OMac. We need two competing with him in the air.

Can't wait for Joeboy's assessment of Tyson's game. Oh yeah, I forgot.

Now there's an idea - Trump wearing one of Jayden's hair ties/head bands (whatever ya call 'em).
-
I thought I'd mention it prior to emailing Jayden's folks. Doubt that they would have approved of one team member having a grip on another member!

That's better. It wasn't just me then..

I reckon there are a couple of Cats that are going in underdone. Cory Gregson (HFF) has been out for 18 months with a navicular injury and played the first JLT match only. Rhys Stanley is returning from a calf injury and Cats (and Saints) supporters will tell you he ain't much good anyway.

You may need to slide Nate a tad to the right. His right hand looks (to me anyway) to be clutching something.

Joel may be in a spot of bother: (the Age) GetSwift and its former AFL playing boss hit with $300 million claim By Sarah Danckert 20 February 2018 — 2:53pm "GetSwift and its former Melbourne Football Club player chief executive Joel Macdonald is facing a class action from shareholders that could cost the logistics software company $300 million after the company admitted it had not told investors it had lost key contracts......"

I previously listened to KB on every morning. I rarely listed to any other shows on SEN other than Mark Allen's golf show early Sunday morning and Rodney Malcolm Hogg at 1pm Tuesday arvo (cricket season) Have switched off completely. The amount of ads seems to have increased. Not sure about calling a show 'Whateley'.

Covered in the first (locked) thread. Down 200 on same time last year.

Reported on BF that Joel's company may not be travelling as well as has been made out: (there is a firewall) http://www.afr.com/business/banking-and-finance/hedge-funds/getswift-too-fast-for-its-own-good-20180116-h0ji3t " ...Tim Hannon, chief investment officer at Newgate Capital Partners, is shorting the stock. "We think GetSwift is a company that has developed a product with a useful but very limited application," he said. Mr Hannon said the company has made "a series of regular, high level announcements that lack substance or are unclear ...."

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHARLIE SPARGO
M_9 replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Charlie Spargo's dad is Paul. Peter Spargo is probably the person you're thinking of. -
Ditto (two scarves and Trac on my tik). Shirley there's a better action shot of Trac that could have been used.
-
Looking at Monday night news clip I reckon you've got your 'hope' (wish). The comment was made by the reporter that Trac has slimmed down somewhat.

As far as I know all the major Victorian clubs have a long waiting list (and charge a huge quid) for GFG membership packages. I let mine lapse in 2000 and I was filthy at having to leave the prelim (when Farmer blitzed) at 3/4 time to queue up, Promptly re-joined the next year. I'm pretty sure what I pay is substantially less than what my mate (a Tigers' man) pays. He lives in NSW and rarely gets to a game, but 30 years of loyalty paid off this year.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BALIC
M_9 replied to ignition.'s topic in Melbourne Demons
I think we may be getting a bargain. Just think that when he's settled back in his home state he'll get to show why he was predicted to go (late) round one (and not pick 38). This from the HUN following the draft: "... Balic calls himself a “bit of mother’s boy’’. He’s particularly close to his mother and she was overwhelmed at the thought of him relocating to Perth. After his selection he went off to do some media with Fremantle. When he returned he saw his dad on the phone in tears. He jokingly said he would pay him $70,000 to stay in Melbourne. Later, as the family gathered for a dinner with Dockers officials, his mother’s eyes were red as she arrived in the foyer. But Balic said he was happy to make the move. “At the start I was a bit worried but thinking about it all night and this morning, it’s going to be a good thing for me,’’ he said. “I won’t have all the distractions I may have here, friends, the antics, everything like that. I’ll be over there training and getting better … at the end of the day it doesn’t matter, because it depends on what you do with it (draft selection). If I can prove the clubs wrong who didn’t pick me, that’s the first thing I want to do. “But overall I’m just grateful. I was one of the lucky ones. A few of my mates didn’t get picked up.’’ ..." -
Did his hammy in a practice match. Was expected to miss up to two months but with little improvement went under the knife (from memory) some months back. Has a history of being injured - Achilles and hip, but did play all but one game in the NEAFL last year (reasonable stats).

I love this bloke. Given that the Dons took him with pick 10 (in 2009) I was confident that, if played in the right position, he could deliver. Milkshake strikes me as a real competitor. I hate the Dons with a passion, but admire the competitiveness that their players deliver every week. You have to wonder if he is what he is because he came through their system and not ours. He may butcher the ball occasionally, but by the same token can deliver beautifully on his non-preferred side (I think that's his left).
-
No way we could get Lever for that. It will take pick 10 plus a very good player or two first round picks.
-
Thank you. Six games in the last two years. Personally I'd be hoping he pulls the pin.

THE BOMBERS' DOPING SAGA - THE FAT LADY SINGS
M_9 replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in General Discussion
I know for a fact that Dank was interviewed by Customs (at Tulla) approx. a month before the 'blackest day' announcement. He had more than 15,000 messages on his phone. Some very notable persons among his contacts. My mate (co-incidentally a Dons supporter) who gave me the info said Dank will never talk (a matter of life and death you could say). -
Pardon my ignorance, and it's probably already been explained, but if Garland was to retire, or have his contract paid out via his AFLW role, I assume he is still a listed player, a la Chris Mayne?
-
Definitely he and a dozen of his brothers played against the Pies.
-
On the subject of concussion, what is the purpose of the 'helmets' that a number of NRL players wear (a la Dunstall's)?
