Mr Picket Fence,I agree with most of the things that you stated,except the inclusion of ANB who needs to excel in real matches. Casey v Frankston should be a cake walk but is it going to prove anything in regards to form/selection. We should have got Crowley for his toughnest and let Minchie go. We also need another good round of draft picks at years end. Still we have too many spuds.

No comparisons,Gibson is miles better. Garland wish list should be getting drafted to the Hawks next year. Every player at the club can be compared to players at other clubs. Not many of our guys would measure up.

Is this one of those reverse pschology question? If we lose we should leave the side in Tasmania for ever. If we win I wouldn't get my hopes up as the Dees are known for their consistent disappointments.

The Dees need to get tougher on players who are not pulling their weight in particular those that have more than two years experience. Dropping senior player for several weeks will send a message to anyone who slackens off. The captain should demand his coach set harsher penalties for slackers otherwise we should get someone who has the guts to do the job. Dropping Hogan would be foolish considering there is no decent options. To keep Hogan we need to win matches quick. The other problem we have is that we can't seem to turn ordinary players into good players.

There wasn't too many good players v Essendon.To single out a 2nnd year player is totally unfair. I havn't seen the Captain jump up and down after the poor showing.Nat is an honest player but not Captain material. If Freo get Hogan by any chance then Melbourne will probably get McCarthy possibly not a bad replacement.The coaching staff must take the blame/

Mr Dazzledavey36, I am really p.ssed off with Dees after their performance against Essendon.What changes possibly can we make especially when our reserve side hasn't played a match. Take a look at Brayshaw's performance.The MFC should demand that the VFL starts the same time as the AFL. The Wafl starts 2 weeks earlier . Frost needs to come back into the side. Who else I don't think anyone is up to it.

Take a look at the bulldogs with young boyd he is playing in the forward pocket. Frost or Hogan must the CHF and FF position.WEidmann could play a Forward pocket positionand when available Petracca could also take up another forward spot. Dunn would have to be placed back in defence. O'Mac should take up a back pocket position.The days may be over for Watts ,Dawes and Grimes. WE must put trust in up and coming stars.

In all fairness we should have got a fill in for Marksham,that's fair ….. yeah

In he entire BOX HILL Vfl side,out the entire MFC . Please MFC quit the AFL the comp is too hard for the players.

As I have said before,you cannot judge how a team is giong to preform in the "real" season based on NAB up matches,yet some people including Roos swear by it. Based on our pathetic loss it is about time the coach stops telling everyone we had one bad week but prior to that we had four good weeks. No premiership points for NAB cup matches or have I been misinformed !!!!!

Being on the payroll at the MFC is easy money,you don't have to do much. A pity it shows.

We probably should not have made changes after round I until the so called better players get VFL experience. I strongly beleive that the VFL should start the same time as the AFL.Our so called better players would be fast tracked by playing real matches. Brayshaw is one for example.

Why does those out there think Watts has turned the corner after one decent match. Proves once again that he is too soft for AFL footy. He will make history as the lowest to get paid for being a free agent. Jack take any offer you get. Others are in the same boat.

What a useless side the Dees are. Can't beat a half strength Essendon side. Pathetic. The Dees can go and get stuffed.

The back up plan if we lose is to follow the women's pretend footy and if that fails I will become a interplanetary time traveller. Bacxk to 1950's to see the Dees win all those flags.

Petraccattack, GWS may not be kids but we played a side without J.Cameron and no McCarthy. Watts has still got a lot to prove.

Tyson needs to speed up,good point. Brayshaw needs the run is basically what i said before. Dunn for O'Mac is a possible change,depends where Dunn is in the pecking order. With the current round one team on the improve we should beat Essendon by 80 pts …….. I reckon that's a least what they can do. Once BOP ( Brayshaw,Oliver and Petracca) combines we will be much better off. Who we drop will become a dilemma for our coaches…………… very interesting.

When Watts plays well against top sides then we should offer him a contract. NAB matches and a game against Kids doesn't prove anything.He owes us heaps!!!!.

The opposition

Mr titan-Uranus , good teams drop players from winning sides. We are not in the the same class as Hawthorn,Swans,West Coast so dropping players after a first round win may be futile. The problem I have is that people like the Brayshaw's is lack of match practice,those that were the so called underachieves could do with more experience and what is a better way to get it is against Essendon. I cannot understand why does the VFL start two weeks after the AFL. The WAFL starts before the AFL season which should an advantage to Freo and W.Coast. Why does the development league also start late?. In four rounds of the Dev. League three teams have byes,surely two teams can play each other.

No need to make changes unless someone is injured. Need to get more games into some players. This will benefit the club.

Paul Roos is known to pick roughies,so I can see why O'Mac is chosen over Dunn.
