Glaring weakness in defence
When J.Smith was playing down back, our backline seemed to be more secure. Next year I think that J.Smith should become a mid,he is quick and shows skill. O.Mac could go to the wing, to some people he looks slow but he isn't. Jetta should be used up forward, may replace Garlett or used in combo. Perhaps Maynard could then play in defence. Not sure if T.Mac is a forward or Defender. What about this crazy idea when Gawn rucks Watts is the rover. This move may confuse the opposition,if Watts doesn't hold and held onto he get a free. Also rucking in our forward zone we use Pedo or T.Mac,Gawn goes to a forward pocket. To be a great team you need great mids,a changing game plan, smarter players etc.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
we should keep our first round in lieu of getting experienced/high credential player elsewhere. There are always going to be a champion or a future champion out there in the draft. The 2nd rounder and a player should be the way to go re-trade.

Josh Kelly
We could of had Kelly,by doing so we may have finished higher on the ladder, which as a result we probably would not get Petracca,Brayshaw and Oliver.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
I wouldn't like to see frost leave he is still a valuable player. Getting Lever would be great which means that O'Mac may have to play wing alternating defence when required. Players have to be versatile Pedo rucks, forward and defends like T,Mac etc. Players who are unable to adapt to changes may be left out. J.Smith and Maynard will become mids/whatever. We need a tough nut FP player who can create havoc,Petracca might fit the bill. We need to replemish our ruck stocks with the view of giving Gawn a rest every now and then.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
There is talk about using Tyson as part of the trade bait to get Lever, Tyson is the equivalent in my mind to Caddy(tigers) a serviceable player but not spectacular,he is no Trealoar or Paddy. Do we need to keep both N.Jones and Vince in the same team. We might not necessarily need to make changes but perhaps the way we play.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Dr Gonzo, comparing Brian to Jimmy and Jay to Todd Viney is so far off the mark as one bro was so much inferior to the other.Oscar offers or will offer value as does his brother. Picket fence suggested his offerings,Gus and/or Harmes plus draft picks for Lever would be going backwards. We need quality mids. Loyalty has gone out the door, surprise supporters don't jump ship during bad times !!!!!!!!

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Hogan 4 Lever possibly a win/win for both clubs. Dees don't rely on Hogan to win games these days. There will be other players that will fill his shoes and we do not have to wait one day for Hogan to return home as it will be somebody elses problem. The Dees are trying to play Wagner as a mid and other players will play different roles in the future.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Hypothetical,if we get Lever what happens to O.Mac ? Some suggest that we trade him, surely T.Mac would probably want to leave. O.Mac might end up playing forward or a role similiar to his bro who knows. Lever would be good but playing overs may upset the "apple cart". To my knowledge one of the Scott brother was better than the other yet Brissy could have traded one of them.

Glaring weakness in defence
Glaring weakness all over the field as far as I am concern. We need a quality mid,FB and CHF and a ruck/forward, a cool $4 million will do.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
armstrong35,J.Smith will become a mid/defender.Pedo,Spencer,Kennedy will become obsolete.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Not necessary to get another defender, would prefer tall mid and a ruckman/forward. J.Smith could fill the tall mid/defender role. I don't think we should giveaway our first draft pick. Who cares if the so called Tac cup kiddies aren't as goog as last year, there will always be a potential star in the next draft.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Would be great to get him in a Dee Jumper. Perhaps another Mac could go forward, nothing like a Macattack. Still we need a quality mid,is Wines available?

Time to show Oscar some respect!
There are always going to be some player to get slagged, most of all it is the revolving door players. Some players step up especially when there are better players around them, like a Lewis. I have faith in Oscar, must be that glamour pick 43 that does it. What most surprises me of late is the way Nat Jones is playing, certainly there will be those who disagree and that's fine. I am glad to see Frost"y" cement his position in the senior side.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Rocky, many of us (me included at a later stage) thought Jack Watts was not up to it,as it turned out Jack proved us wrong. Also some of us wanted Hunt and Harmes delisted, may I say no more.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Oscar will be a great player for the dees whether in defence or forward.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
May has nothing to offer Melbourne. If you compare Treloar to Prestia it is like comparing cheese to chalk,Treloar win easily.

As I said iut before cheating does prosper as long as you do it properly. Long live cheating !!!!!!

The Petracca v McCartin debate reprised
Interesting comparison but it is early days for both players,so far Petracca is the winner. I think for took Hunt in the same year, earlier on he suffered from injuries and has turned out to becoming a useful player for us. We could of chosen Wines instead of Doupas,(Doups was damaged goods when we picked him up) we could have chosen the Bont or Cripps over Brayshaw. So the Bomp is a clear cut winner followed by Cripps thou Brayshaw isn't too bad of a player. As comparisons go we pick up Oliver over Parish,so our scouts got that one right.

After Essendon beat Hawthown you can definetely say cheats do prosper.

Anyone for cricket?
Most of our test players and the the ones who were in the test side recently are performing badly at test and shield level. You cannot select players based on T20 or 50-50 form. The Big bash is one of the reasons why we cannot produce decent test players. We cannot seem to find a decent all rounder,S.Africa have produced Kallis and Pollock as all rounders and this seems to make a difference when playing in India. I would like to see the big bash scrapped and go back to the state sides playing T20. as this help pay wages for the players. Perhaps we nned to bring in an U21 squad to play shield matches. We also need pitches that can take spin thus replicating Indian pitches. Each shield side should have one all rounder which the side nominates and that person must bat at no.5 and bowl a minimum of 15 overs per innings.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD
EFC aka drugcheats should get zilch for Hibberd and we should get compo for Marksham. We still are a sad club when nobody wants Dawes,Garland,Spencer and hopefully satin inc. takes Dunn.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD
Contracts are meaningless if a player wants to leave a club. Why would you want to pay someone if their heart is no longer in it?
-
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD
If we cannot get Hibberd so be it. That's not the end of the world. I would hope that we are not silly enough to entertain the idea of giving away any future picks.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - DECLAN KEILTY
Declan probably should be put on the senior list next year, Smith and the other basketballer should be added to the rookie list and not be clasified as "B" rookies.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD
Pick 27 for Hibberd is a no, he should be allowed to leave EFC free of charge…………. actually you do have to give up a draft pick. We delisted Fitzpatrick and recieve pick 84 from the Hawks. The Dees should be looking elsewhere i.e GWS the footyfactory we have been served well by them in the past and they are easier to work with than the EFC. As I said B4 Caleb Marchbank looks the goods.
