what about his celebrations!!! hahah the most funniest thing i have seen! on ya aussie u lil legend! he is seriously reminds me of a younger byron picket!

I LOVE YOU AUSSIE AND WOULD LIKE TO MAKE SWEET LOVE TO YOU!

Dazzledavey - you can claim him. You've been telling us about him for months.

Melbourne needed a player like him. Someone to lift the crowd and the team.

I'm a massive fan.

Some here are very easliy pleased.

That said, I suppose we need something to evoke any semblance of hope.

LOL.

Sad.

LOL.

Sad.

He was great and is a terrific prospect, so why are you sad ?

As I said, he's a ray of light in a bleak tunnel. It will take a lot more for me to get excited. But today we celebrate.

Knock yourself out, kid.

Just checked my dream team. Had to bring Aussie off the bench for Chad Cornes, 157 points, should of made him captain!

Great game young fella, should get the rising star nod this week.

He stepped up and was fantastic today when it counted. All credit to him.

Riveting stuff rhino...but in all seriousness I also said that why he had been promising, he had been nothing more than a decent player in a rubbish team, and that I couldnt imagine him turning a game like he did today. I stand corrected, he was brilliant today, I love him. I am now officially on the bandwagon.

Some people ..... look like gooses right about now.

Thats why Im staying at home

The MFC have screwed me again, now Im gonna screw them

There is no doubt Yze Magic is one stubbie short of a six-pack.

Only a fool will try to argue with a fool....

It says more about those who try to take Y_M on than Y_M himself, because as soon as you hit [reply] then he's won.

He might end up a player, but it's hard to get too enthused by anyone that wouldn't be getting a game in any other side in the league.

He was great and is a terrific prospect

An amazing improvement in 2 days. <_<

It just goes to show how nonsensical it is to say that any player on our list wouldn't get a game with any other club, because if you're playing within a confident team, you're own performance will be enhanced.

Austin shows great promise and has made the most of his elevation from the rookies list

He needs to keep improving and those who call him champion or a great already are kidding themselves

He hasnt done much wrong but lets not get ahead of ourselves

Cuthbertson for those who remember him got the same accolades for his game against the pies

An amazing improvement in 2 days. <_<

It's almost as nonsensical as writing the coach off after 5 rounds ;)

And yet the facts are he'd still be rooky listed at any other club, irrespective of what the future holds.

We still have arguably the worst list in the comp. That said, our under 23's are in the upper echelon.

But you wouldn't understand this, cos you're a dill.

Hannabal, you're up there with Rhino when it comes to quality posters.

What a great performance by Aussie.

Those celebrations are legendary.

It's players like Aussie that football clubs dream of - talent, speed, flair, achieving goals the hard way.

People will come to games just to watch this bloke - he's a marketer's dream

What a great day for the MFC. Let's hope it can continue for Aussie and the rest of the boys.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
