Dogs Hands off our No.1 Draft pick

I would want most of their list for our pick 1 (assuming WC or Freo don't tank us out of it).

And I still think Daniel Rich is a better player.

Assuming we had pick 1 (by no means a given yet) and the Dogs wanted it, I'd definitely listen to their offer.

Not saying I'd accept it, but I'd listen.

What would you (everyone) accept?

Lake and Griffen

D'oh. I didn't actually read the article. I just assumed the OP had correctly interpreted it.

But not a bad question. i wonder if Griffen would be available for the number one pick?

It would certainly win over my six year old who has ominously told me he doesnt need a new footy jumper.

The articles about the bullies going to Fiji to do a bit of scouting.

Looking for the next big thing.

They should go to Nauru for that.

Lake Griffen and Cooney. Deal done

damn...we should have thought of that before we went to china..oh well

Lake Griffen and Cooney. Deal done

I would still say no to that

To give up Natanui, I would require

Ryan Griffen

Adam Cooney

Robert Murphy

Josh Hill

Will Minson

And the Dogs 1st and 2nd round draft pick

well thank god you're not running our club...

i'm not sure what they're going to find... given naita can qualify for the fijian olympic team in the high jump, they're is obviously not many others over there that have his freakish athleticism... there may be some other good athletes, i doubt they're going to find another naita though...

im a fijian who can play a bit of footy! come look at me bulldogs!!

Would anybody take Adam Cooney for pick number one (obviously hypothetically)? A proven good to very good player for the potential to get an absolute star/total bust?

Cooney and the dogs first pick is a deal for me. Only problem is, we already have Bate, Cheaney, so I think if we took cooney we could just about break the brissie lions record of most fanta pants in one team! Voss, lepitch were guns, I am a big advocate for drafting the orange assasins.

We could REALLY put the RED back in the red and the blue with cooney.

  • PREVIEW: Collingwood

Way back in March we contemplated the possibility of a Demon resurgence after Simon Goodwin’s summer of love. Many issues at the club had seemingly been addressed, key players were returning from injury and a brand new day was about to dawn. We imagined the coach pulling a rabbit out of a hat. The team would roar up the charts, push aside every opponent and make its way to a Grand Final ending in ultimate triumph with Goody and Max holding the premiership cup aloft under a shower of red and blue ticker tape.

We’re back! That was fun. The Mighty Dees’ Season 10 campaign is off toa flying start with a commanding 48-point winover the Western Bulldogs, retaining the Hampson-Hardeman Cup in style. After a hard-fought first half in slippery conditions, the Dees came out in the second half and showcased their trademark superior class, piling on four goals in the third termand never looked back.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
