Well the dockers aren't much better than us... constantly getting caught with the ball, slow midfield very similar traits to us... wish there was a market for teams NOT to make the 8 coz i know id be jumping all over freo who would of had pretty generous odds before today probably $2.... they will be bottom 4.. will hardly win an away game and will drop half at home i think... collingwood havnt been that good

You could also parallel the shoddy delivery into the forward 50........

Freo were very very ordinary.

Tarrant was absolutely hopeless. Can't believe they traded pick 8 - which the Magguires used on Ben Reid - for him. He is one overpriced underperforming half forward flanker.

They are slow, their ball use and decision making is very ordinary. the number of times they fluffed simple short passes or handballs or managed to run themselves into trouble was amazing.

At least the Wiz played ok. He provided Pavlich with the only decent pass to him for the whole game.

In fact looking at the Freo list and watching the game today you gotta hope that Connolly's trip back over the Nullarbor saw some sort of Saulian road to Damascus conversion vis a vis and re list management. There is not much young talent comng through and they have a lot of Jack Dyer good ordinary footballers -- and they have done more than a few questionable trades.

Went to the game yesterday, agree with most of you're thoughts, but I still think that they will win a few games this year. They have two Mobile KPPs in Pavlich and Mcpharlin that are class and they have a huge home ground advantage, two things we don't have and that might be enough for Freo to not finish in the bottom 4 this year.

Whilst they have a good list. Quite a few of them started there career elsewhere and their best years are behind them ala Tarrant, M Johnson, Solomon etc

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
