ok, now we have our new draftees, we have filled a few of our gaps in our team and we have more of an idea how our team will look in 2-3 years time.

i think its worth taking a look at our 2010 team, as we will only be a force pushing for a premiership in 2-3 years.

Bartram, Frawley, Garland

Pettard, Rivers, Bell

Sylvia, Mclean, Morton

Green, Bate, Dunn

Davey, Newton, Maric

Meesan, Grimes, Jones

Int: Moloney, P.Johnson, Buckley, Cheney.

others who could be around but don't know if theyll develop into good afl players- C.Johnson, Bode, Miller, Weetra, McNamara

our veterans at this time which i haven't included bc i'm not sure if they'll be around in 2-3 years- Robbo, Bruce, Carrol, Wheatley

Posted

B: Bartram Carroll Grimes

HB: Bell Rivers Petterd

C: Morton McLean White

HF: Bate Miller Bruce

F: Davey Newton Maric

1R: Meeson Sylvia Jones

INT: Frawley Dunn Bode Robertson

EM: Green Moloney P Johnson

Can't really see an alternative to Carroll at full-back in the short term - don't know if frawley will be capable of holding full-back in two years' time

Bailey will weave his magic and extend White's career by playing him on a wing

Miller will be rejuventated and become a dominant centre half-forward

And our 07 recruits will make an immediate impact

Sounds exciting!!

Apologies to Whelan, Robertson, McDonald and Carroll who all may still be going strong then, but in the spirit of the thread they've been omitted. Hell, Neitz and Yze might still be going.

On this card, Sylvia has had a few consecutive full preseasons and is a midfield monster.

P.Johnson is in as a back-up ruck and 'KP utility', almost like Holland is now.

I've got no frickin idea who our number one ruck is. Jamar or Meesen? Some brilliant Noob we get in next years draft at pick 16?

Bellchambers, after picking him up in this years PS or Rookie Draft?

Miller is touch and go whether he'll come good. We'll know if he'll be around in 2010 within the first half of 08, I think.

Obviously Garland is a question mark, maybe it'll be McNamara, maybe someone we rookie this year, maybe even Warnock will be our third tall defender.

I can easily see our forward line being Dunn instead of Green and thus becoming one of the youngest forward lines combinations ever seen, with Davey the old man at 27, the rest between 24 and 20!

Bate / Morton / Dunn could prove to be an impossible HF line to match up on.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
