Judd offered captaincy if signed with the dees...

Not doubting you for a second Madness but.......

I have heard from some parts of the media that the captaincy would not be on his agenda.

It wasn't at the Eagles as he apparently had to be convinced to take it over from Cousins.

Then again, who the hell knows?!!!

Well that will go against us, im sure he has said that he does not want to be captain, at least not for a couple of years.

Don't think it'll go against us, but he won't take up the offer regardless.

We may have said that "the option of captaining the side, be it next year or down the track, is a big possibility".

Sorry guys that's all I know, have no idea of his response, but it was on the agenda...

Judd was offered the captaincy of Melbourne but Judd declined and said 'No...I want to play under the Great man David Neitz"

ohhh we can dream can't we

I don't think our presentation team would be stupid enough to (more or less) force it upon him, given what Connors said on Monday. I suspect they will have said that the option may well present itself, but only if he is interested.

If, and a big if, they offered him the captainsy it would be interesting to know whether they discussed this with the playing group - or at least the leadership group first as it has recently been the playing group who selects the leadership group.

the more i think about the calibre of people sitting in our presentation with judd...i.e lyon, stynes, bailey (the man who presented so finely to get the coaching gig), connolly, gardener makes me think we could have successfully lured judd's mind to wearing red and blue and playing at the g next season...unfortunately- steve harris, and bohdan....what a useless ***. both have got to go...only thing holding us back as a club

Harris deserves a lot more credit than he is being given....

Bohdan..... Bah!! Poo!! Leave and leave ASAP!!

Can't believe Krazy Bailey is still absorbing this peanuts thoughts!!!

Bohdan would have been there more for the medical side of the Judd injury than anything else, i think Harris has been doing a lot of good of late, never really had a problem with them of late.

Yeah he was probably sitting there thinking, "Well at least those bloody Dees fans can't blame me for this injury."

HAHAHAHAHA

But if he does come to us, every injury after the sugery will be his fault!

I only have minor issues with Harris at the moment, and while I like confidence on him I don't have an actual problem with Bohdan.

It does concern me that there were quite so many people in the room at once - and these two were surplus to that discussion if you ask me.

I don't know if this has been put elsewhere, if so then sorry.......

Pratt: I'll make Judd skipper

What do you guys - figuratively speaking :P - think of wanting Judd to come in and captain the team?

Telling a guy who's yet to set foot in the door that he's the man you need to lead the team may appeal to ego, but doesn't really sell the Club's leadership.

I've had similar offers - in very different size and scope to an AFL Club captaincy, of course! - and have always been a bit unimpressed.

Have some information. Judd was definately NOT offered the captaincy. Not even mentioned. Some of you know Allus gets good info, and this is definate. It is important to know we have not comrpomised the current leadership group on any way.

Didn't Bohdan have some conection with Caulfield Grammar?

could explain his presence.

And apparently Gardiner wasn't at the meeting.

And apparently Gardiner wasn't at the meeting.

He was over at sportsbet with a pair of dark glasses and a trenchcoat trying to put $25,000 on Judd to Melbourne.

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
