Neitz on SEN right now

Began with questions about his development, made a joke about being the best player in the history of the MFC. Was about time someone reached 300 games, very proud of the achievement.

First impressions of the club- talked about training, memories (seeing fantastic players- lyon stynes) nerves, first car at training (green kingswood)

Relationship with daniher- first game together, daniher gave neitz and farmer a huge spray (TAKE A MARK!)

Achievements- team success is what he strives for, individual honours come and go, grand final is what its all about- hopes we can bounce back for next year and be a contender

Greatest memory- grand final week 2000, amazing experience to be a part of

Neale coming back to address the club- neale- looking forward to it, looking forward to neale coming down and acknowledged his impact on his career, magnificent for his development

Interview finished with a couple of jokes and francis leach appropriately labelled neita "A legend of the MFC"

Very funny interview...

Ox was naming famous Melbourne players like Flower, Barrassi and McMahon and then asked Neita what it meant to be the first to reach 300 to which Neita replied 'that I'm better than all those blokes.'

Ox also made the remark 'you must be humbled' to which Neita joked 'nah, I deserve it.'

Finally Ox asked Neita who was the best vice-captain he had to which Neita replied very quickly 'probably Ooze!'.

Pisser.

Very, light hearted, funny interview; I was out walking the dog with my headphones on and passers by must have wondered just what I was giggling at. I particularly liked the bits about Neita and Ox's under-19 days and Neita's old green Kingswood and how he used to do doughnuts in the parkland after training.

Ox asked if Neita remembered the Melbourne v Sydney game in NZ (Neale's first game in charge)

Neita joked that he couldn't remember it

Apparently Neita and Farmer copped the spray of a lifetime from Neale. He was screaming so much, that someone else had to

Was really good to hear the banter between the Ox and Neita. Can't remember the last time i heard Schwarz speak warmly about his club

There has been massive posts about this in the past and I don't want to start anything but I believe Schwarz talks about his time at Melbourne very fondly.

If you listen to the run home you'll hear Francis Leach always asks Schwarz about certain aspects of playing for Melbourne. Schwarz's responses are almost always positive.

Schwarz is Melbourne through and through and if you need reminding try and dig up a copy of his retirement speech in 2001 from the footy show.

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
