Holland backup ruck?

I vowed not to go to another game if Holland played again this season so they have lost me now. I cannot believe he has been selected before Jamar, dunn, P johnson and garland. No one will convince me this is a positive decision.

Place your losing margin below....

12+ goals

Dunn might still come in as a late change, if Tredrea doesn't play.

At least Belly is back! :)

play youth my ass!! drops pj and now jamar is Em!! plz can this season come any quicker. i need a new coach now to calm me down!!

In all honesty guys, what difference does it make now? Riley was never going to coach us next season anyway, so it doesn't matter who we bring in. Granted, only playing one ruckman is a little strange, but the season is gone. I couldn't give a stuff who plays. I'll still be watching and supporting the team as passionately as I always have but I could care less who is playing. I'll start caring when the new coach is in and 2008 get's underway. It makes no difference now.

Plus I still don't see why people have a hissy fit everytime Holland get's picked. I can't see what he has done wrong to deserve all the crap the get's thrown his way. At least he is a guy who can respond after a poor start (eg. Richmond), unlike most of our "leaders".

Losing margins at AAMI over the past 3 years:

Adelaide: 58, 54, 72

Power: 62, 73

Most of these sides were expected to be competitive. I'd suggest 100+ points would be closer, 107 say.

I can't for the life of me understand the omission of Dunn over the last couple of weeks.

I'm with you Finks !!!

Demons to win 85- Port 84 tee-fiddle-hee hee.

I don't mind Garland being sent back to Sandy.

However I would have given CJ another game (yes, I know), and also played Dunn.

Yep, Riley you have just signed your own (coaching) death certificate.

Yep.

BUT.... I'll just stay behind and make sure the pitchfork is sharp and the torch has plenty of juice in it.... I have a feeling Holland won't be named, Jamar MIGHT be, and maybe Dunn for one other.

if melbourne win this i will buy every1 on this site a melbourne membership!!

if melbourne does win then CARNTHEDEES!! holds no responiblity for buying every1's membership as he doesnt expect melbourne 2 win (even though he tipped them) and has no money

 Does anyone know why Bizzell was dropped last week?I reckon he has been amongst the most consistent of our backmen since he got back a while ago...

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
