Richmond practise Match

Featured Replies

Today I received an email from the MFC about the practice match against Richmond.

It seems the match is to be played at the Mars ground. I assume that is Richmond’s Punt road ground. It seems there are works at the ground which will restrict the number of people who can attend the game. The way I read it you have to apply for entry via Ticketmaster. Is it just me or has the AFL again lost the plot? Why is the game being played at a ground with very limited access?

No Dogs games there so praccys as compo.

The Mars ground is the Ballarat Oval the Dogs use. It’s having work done as well.

Well I will be buttered on both sides. I guess they won't be deluged with tigers/demons supporters.

I got tickets today …nightmare. I don’t know whether it has now been fixed but you could only access Ticketmaster on your laptop ..not your phone …

And yet that very team who are supposed to host games there are playing at Whitten Oval. Go figure.

It's Ticketmaster why are we surprised. Do you live in Ballarat? I would not have thought too many tigers or demon supporters would be lining up for tickets.

It's the AFL what other organisation has a round before the first round! Isn't the first round the first round and the round after the first round the second round. And these people are paid hundreds of thousands. I think the joke is on us.

The Dees roll into my hometown.. cannot wait to watch it live with 20 odd supporters and 500 seagull’s

I drove past a few weeks ago, it’s looking like a pretty neat small stadium.

Will locals go to a practise match when they have to book via Ticketmaster?

I’ve no idea but I live near Bendigo as does my Tiger Buddy. We’re tossing up a visit.

My old stomping ground. I was up there for a basketball tournament. It sure has changed a lot.
