Literally two posters mentioned the ‘medical’, and you call that multiple… there’s every chance that you both have the same source connected to the club… I will apologise when it appears in the media. And talking of the media, as I posted elsewhere, I’d say that those media pundits trawl sites such as this in search of ‘scoops’, yet so far nothing, nada, zilch, zip, not a peep out of any of them…why wouldn’t you say that is?

Ok, I’ll give you the fact that a lot of your posts are not trade related, so apologies for my generalisation, however, there you go again with your need to boast… seriously, who cares about how many reactions your posts have had, who cares about how much money you have given to the club (every single person who has a membership is financially and emotionally invested - that doesn’t work on some sort of dollar scale)… go through the Humphrey thread and tell me which posts are getting the biggest numbers of likes etc… I’ll save you the time, it’s the posts offering false hope or those critical of the GCS for not handing over a player who hasn’t even nominated us or for only offering the outrageously ‘cheap’ (sarcasm) picks 7&8 for Trac!

As far as your last statement about having better things to do than troll, trolling isn’t always about simply being disruptive, it is often a desire to be praised and recognised. I’m not saying that that is you (I already explained why I considered you a troll - I’ll apologise for that as well), but trolling is not purely mischievous behaviour… look no further than certain world cough leaders.

Not shocked we are on different ends of the political spectrum. Lets leave our discussion there and keep in common our hope for successful 2026 season

This is hilarious. Half the people complaining about this saying there's no truth to it as the story hasn't appeared in the media were the same people banging on that the media were bullsh1tt1ng about Oliver and Petracca not being at the club next year.

When it suits, am I right?

Unfortunately it's not hilarious. If only it was hilarious.

You’re way off in my case; I’m regularly checking in on the AFL app to see what developments have occurred… but as far as the footy media are concerned, and I’m sure you’d have to agree, they would usually be all over something like this!

I mean, apparently channel 9 I think it was, used The DeeBrief’s (Facebook group) photo of Humphrey in a hoodee walking with Chunk and King in their secret meeting, on the same day it occurred; the fact that there’s just crickets/silence in this instance, makes me think that they did their due diligence and their investigations turned up nothing worth reporting.

This wasn't directed at you mate. But there's multiple posters across various threads taking issue with things being posted, because it's not in the media, but having previously shouted down any media reporting linking our own to another club.

It's tiresome.

It’s not political, but I can see why you might think that. Anyway, we can agree to leave the discussion and yes, I’m always hopeful that we might experience success. At least I got to see a GF in ‘21 (albeit on TV) as I only got to listen on the radio when I was a kid.

Understand, and agree.

Seems that Florent is heading to Parc des Princes independently of a possible Curnow trade. Carlton are coughing up a future 3rd. Sounds good to me. Florent had a poor 2025 but if he can get back to his old form it is a good pick up.

Good job by Carlton. There's some real delusional people on here thinking that we're in a much better position but Florent and Heyword are quality players that will improve them

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Geelong

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
