Humphrey hasn't done it year after year because heโ€™s 21. That's what he's going to do when he comes to us. Petracca has done it year after year with us because heโ€™s 29, that doesn't benefit GC.

"Wrestling with a pig ..."

Just to hammer this point home.

BH is about the same age and upside as Harley Reid only he's done more, and done it in bigger games.

If he nominates us, get his signature as fast as we possibly can and anything else is an absolute bonus.

I think it's fair to say that Lamb job is on the line. Everyone will want him out if he stuffs this one up. He has poor form too with giving away 2nd rounders for Frost and McAdam. Don't stuff this one up Lamby!

This will be a board decision. Not Lamb's.

Besides, Frost was serviceable and McAdam was instantly injured.

Were not picking on hope here. That's what we hope he does he could struggle at Melbourne for some reason we just don't know what he's capable of. We know what Petracca is capable of so what if he's 29 he still has 5 good years left.

You're easily pleased.

If anyone thinks a 30 year old Petracca, who runs away from high balls and now rushes his kicks because he's concerned by body contact, is worth more in a trade than a 21 year old Humphrey, they are genuinely clueless.

Most years Petracca's kicking was pretty consistent. His percentage efficiency typically averaged in the mid 50s. It never dropped below 50, until this year (48). There's a reason.

After a year back I do expect his confidence to improve, but trading a player with potentially 2-3 very good years left for one with a decade is a no brainer. If it can be done.

If your saying Goodwin is clueless I agree with you. The worst thing he done was stick by Clarry everybody knew he had issues that were culture killing but he stood by him and I think it cost him his job in the end. It would have been nice to see Tholstrup play more games.

Sticking by Clarry might be the best thing Goody did.

If Clarry leaves for nothing and tears it up for GWS, what does that say about King?

Iโ€™m all in on King. Moving Trac if we get Humphreys, very smart. Moving on Clarry, Iโ€™m not so sure.

You're overrating him because he's young Gold Coast have only had 1 big game that was against Fremantle. Did he star then? Didn't watch it. He's not up to Trac's standard that's why we should get pick 7.

would you do Trac for Harley Reid or Sam Lalor?

If you add pick 7 then yes. They are number 1 picks but they have done nothing. Petracca was pick 2 should have been pick 1 McCartin was a spud who couldn't get on the park due to concussion.

I doubt they will let Humpfrey go. We should get the Flanders pick 7 plus either their F1 or pick 17.

GC will get some good pick points from Fiorini and 1 or 2 others that leave.

They lose Flanders, Fiorini and 1 or 2 others then they desperately need Tracc. They need a step up next year so get Tracc is a must and keep Humprey is a must.

If Suns are only willing to offer pick 7 (and change), where does that leave us with Trac?

No Melbourne supporter is going to accept that being the heart of the deal for him

No supporter from any club accepts any deal for their players, whatever it is. Supporters ALWAYS over-value their players in a trade-out, and UNDER-VALUE players coming in.

That's a rubbish deal. 2 ordinary picks for Trac? Come off it. Why is Humphrey a must keep? They have 50 million quality youngsters.

That's not true I would give Clarry away for nothing.

Plenty of posts here re Trac are delusional, literally. The "win" in this trade is that we get Trac and his attitude/influence and his salary off the books.

We'll put on our big-boy pants, take whatever gets the deal done, and move on.

It says that King doesn't want high-maintenance players around the club.

These are never just Lamb's decisions, there's a List Management committee.

And the Petracca, Oliver and May ones would be ticked off by the board.

It says nothing. He did the right thing by Clarry some people can't handle football states like Hogan. GWS is a great fit for someone like him with his issues away from the public eye. I think he'll thrive not sure about Melbourne where it's all about football. He might have a great year for us but what if he doesn't? No one will want him even for half his pay packet.

Mate we want Trac to stay. King especially. He will not trade him for a bad deal. 7 and pick exchanges doesnโ€™t get it done.

SACK THEM ALL IF WE STUFF THIS ONE UP!

I've got a problem on this site quotes are popping up that I have already sent?

May fought openly on the field and off the field with his teammates.

Oliver is still doing the things off field that would make Adam Kingsley rethink his interest in him.

Petracca is at times insolent based on our terrible efforts of being a footy club.

There are degrees and I do not think King wants to just โ€˜get rid of himโ€™ the way he wants to do with Oliver.

CP5 gets us Humphries or he stays.

Yeah he's a gun he's not Ainsworth or Flanders, he a player that I want but he's not up to Trac's standard that's why we should get pick 7 as well.

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.

Salem proved to be a valuable contributor as a reliable and solid one-on-one medium-sized defender in what was undoubtedly his most impressive season since the premiership year. He remains a highly capable rebounding option for the Demons as he approaches his 200th game at the club.
