That's probably what the majority of us want, Nathan Brown is very lucky to be playing.

Where did you get this from?

Yeah, predictable.

I agree re: Brown but with the potential ins we had I think we've gone down the right track.

Weather would have had a lot to do with final selections as well.

If it's going to be wet (which is likely), you don't want to have Miller, Dunn, Newton and Frawley sitting on the bench.

Brown's disposal will look excellent if the weather is nasty :P

And an official congratulations to Simon Buckley for making his debut.

You've grown up loving the Dees, now it's time to win them some damn games... no pressure ;)

You just hope Miller gets out to CHF and Newton plays next to Robbo out of the square. These youngs men, Frawley, Newton, Buckley, CJ, Petterd play them give them good game time for the rest of the season.

That team already has 9 talls (altho Bate and Frawley are mobile) and 13 smalls (including Bruce), so it's a pretty tall line-up anyway. On that basis Dunn couldn't come in for Brown and Pickett shouldn't. There's nothing wrong with that selection, it has as much youth as you can go for, the only smalls not playing are Weetra and Neville AFAIK.

im thinking the powers that be will trial either Frosty OR Dunny..but not both at moment..

Dunny is still emerging whilst Miller ( like it or not ) must be on last legs re chances.

That's a very fair comment. I would have preferred Dunn to Frawley this week as Dunn can also be used as a wingman at this stage and for Frawley to get 100 minutes of game time in the VFL but the selection makes sense from a team balance point of view (1 ruckman, defender, midfielder and forward on the bench).

I do have two queries though:

1. What is the least number of players who have played every game for a team in any given season? (lost another one this week in Bell)

2. Can anyone recall a taller interchange bench than the one this week? (every player above 6'2)

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025.
